  1. Sorry can't help there. When the dealer gave me the package they had said that the TPMS would work no problem. That satisfied me so I didn't try to find out anything more technically. I figured they wouldn't know anyway.
  2. I have not had to do anything with my free winter tire package from Ford, and this is the 2nd season that I have put them on. I have only had TPMS warning light for actual low tire pressure. I am not sure why you needed a tool.
  3. The dealer replaced my 1 year old wipers for free when I took it in for service a couple of weeks ago. The wiper bounce no longer happens. (so far)
  4. I kept it simple by taking advantage when I bought the Sport last year and got the free winter tire package from Ford Canada. I have been looking for tire package for my Pilot. I did buy Pirelli winter tires off of Kiji. Put them on my OEM wheels. Now I have time to look for summer wheels w/ TPMS.
  5. You shouldn't have to. I switch out the winter sets & summer sets. Both have TPMS sensors. Don't need to do anything extra.
  6. I was somewhat puzzled this morning when driving to work when the trunk released by itself. I was exiting a highway having to brake hard due to slow moving cars ahead when I heard the Trunk is Ajar chime went off and message on the message centre. At work I checked it and yes in fact it had released. I then realised what happened - I have a Thule storage bag and probably the handle may have caught on the emergency trunk release handle and when it shifted forward under hard braking, it pulled the handle. Weird.
  7. I've actually wondered if the top sector (from about 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock) is vinyl since it feels different than the rest of the steering wheel cover. It doesn't bother me too much since I don't place my hands there normally.
  8. Thanks but I have one that I bought years ago thinking we'd use it on a trip, but never did. Unfortunately, it was the days before USB. It just has one plug.
  9. Thanks for your reply. I'll try it in the next couple of days.
  10. Hi, has anybody used a power inverter in their Fusion plugged into the cigaretter lighter? It doesn't blow up anything does it? We are looking to power a laptop for a long trip.
  11. OK thanks for the info. Never thought to look at their website.
  12. Has anyone noticed this problem? The external vertical rubber seal between the glass and the black door frame on the front doors, there is sealant or adhesive bleeding from the seam between the seal and the frame. It appears as dull black horizontal streaks about quarter to half inch long on the shiny black surface. The dealer replaced the passenger door seal under warranty, and now the driver's one is starting to do it too. We noticed it when the car was less than 6 months old over a month ago, and it hasn't seen really hot temperatures until this past week.
  13. My free Sirius 6 month trial ended at the end of April. I just noticed that I can still get some of the channels. Not sure the percentage, but of my presets, I get about half. Anyone else notice this? Does this eventually end too?
  14. Dark grey might look better, but you'd probably should do that to all the bright work on the car especially the trunk.
  15. Yes I saw that great 3rd period too. But I have to say my FUSION is my SPORT. But then again, we neeevvverrr get into the playoffs!
  16. Thanks for all your replies. I just checked my antenna and it unscrews fairly easily. No plans at the moment to take it to a car wash. As for washing cars up here in Canada, I wait for when the temperature goes above freezing coincides with my having time. If not it stays dirty and frozen. That's partly why I chose silver this time - hides the salt.
  17. Hi Snowball 2010, Let me restate for the record that I do not take my cars through an automatic car wash for the reasons I stated. I was just asking a question. I wondering if this would be another case of something getting ripped off the car. I cannot remember the last time - maybe it was on my few year-old-at-the-time 1991 Accord, that I haven't washed my car myself - or let the dealer do after service.
  18. It looks like most of you who used the expiry tactic are from US. Has anyone from Canada used that tactic successfully? My 6 month trial is up end of the month. All I have gotten so far in the mail is $15/month.
  19. Have any of you taken you Fusion with the roof mounted Antenna through an automatic car wash? I didn't notice that the mast can be removed and the owner's manual isn't much help. I don 't take my cars through car washes since in the past/present I have had with roof racks that would shed pieces if I did. And I have only washed the Fusion by hand so far.
  20. Since someone already picked the useless grocery hooks, I'll vote for the auto door locks. I've got them turned off - at least they can be disabled.
  21. The package was an incentive from Ford of Canada in Ontario - free Winter tires, rims & TPMS with the purchase of any new Fusion, Escape or Focus. They probably figured that not many Sports would be purchase as compared to the other models. They probably only ordered one size wheel/tire combo to fit all Fusions sold.
  22. I too am happy with this factory Sony system. In Canada, the Sport comes with it standard. The NAV is the only factory option over and above the basic car. I guess you guys down South have more choices to make.
  23. My AWD Sport also came with 16" steel wheels & BFG Winter tires. I have no issues with them so far, other than they look pretty bland. But they were free, so I can live with it.
  24. My factory blade bounces too on the return stroke (sometimes) on the passenger side only. It is also due to not enough water on the windshield. I don't use Rain-X on it because I seem to remember it would leave very small beaded water droplets (almost like a haze) after the wipers stroke. Very difficult to see through at night with on-coming headlights. I use Rain-X on the other windows though.
