  1. I feel the lifetime Sirius subscription is a good deal. I plan to keep my FFH for ten years or more. Those without the NAV option have free Nav & Directions with Microsoft Sync for up to three years with the upgrade to Sync 3.0. The version is now 3.1.
  2. The difference is its cold outside and the gas engine needs to run if you want to warm up the car. Change your display to the second one from the bottom (Engage) and it will show the electric motor separate from the gas engine. When its hot outside the air conditioning is all electric so the engine doesn't need to run except to charge the battery (other than driving).
  3. The Bluetooth Audio command works with playing my music from the phone. I haven't tried VZ Navigator because I'm not subscribed. I plan to use the SYNC TDI service for free for the next three years. I won't need to see any maps when I'm driving and the phone screen is too small anyway.
  4. After viewing the Basic Sync Commands list there's one command I need to try. Try saying "Bluetooth Audio" and let me know if it works for you after enabling VZ Navigator on your phone. My Samsung Juke phone is also an MP3 player so it might respond but my wife has the car right now and I'm 200 miles away. There's a footnote for Navigation Equipped vehicles. From the main menu you must first say, "User Device" to access Sync media functions but you probably wouldn't be using VZ Navigator. I'm also going to check out the free 3-year subscription to Sync TDI.
  5. I was also wondering if it’s possible to use VZ Navigator with MS Sync on the FFH. I did a little research (Google) and found out that VZ Navigator can use Bluetooth but on a limited number of receivers. I don’t know what makes it qualified. Apparently Microsoft Sync isn’t one of them.
  6. A few hours after I read this post last Friday my one month old FFH moving at 65mph had a rude meeting with an airborne chunk of tractor trailer tire tread. It caused $550 damage to the lower plastic grill pieces and a small dent in the bumper. The weird part was the pickup truck I was traveling behind hit the same piece of tire twice, two miles apart. It started when I was behind that small pickup truck when we were both slowed down by a tractor trailer wanting to pass slower tractor trailers. After I had my chance to pass that small pickup I subsequently hit a bump in the highway that dislodged that chunk of tire as it was taking a ride in my grill. :bike:
  7. Now "Something Weird" is on the first page for now as I added a reply. I wish I can correct the spelling on this thread's title.
  8. Oman, I checked that site and there are no service bulletins for 2010 FFH. I'll call my dealership to see if they know if this is a known issue with a fix. My instrument cluster reset itself as I posted in my "SmartGauge reset on its own" thread. For some reason I thought the instrument cluster is also called a SmartGauge and my forum search for this issue came up empty. I have over 2000 miles and the car is one month old.
  9. I started my FFH and noticed the instrument cluster was reset. The Average MPG was gone and the bar graphs replaced with leaves again. Nobody else had access to my car. I posted this on the Blue Oval forum and realize it has happened to others. If you know of a fix we’d appreciate a shout.
  10. Engage because I like to see the electric motor power separate from the gas engine power. Bar graph with 60 min. interval.
