So I was just driving along normally and all the sudden on my nav it asks if I want to run a VHR. So I say yes then it attempts to dial out on my phone and fails. I then go read up on it and found out that I need to go to syncmyride.com and register before it will work. So I do that and run a manual report and everything shows OK. So a day or 2 later I'm crusing down the road and it prompts me again to run the report, so I say yes and it runs just fine. So I check the report and again nothing wrong. I only have 1500 miles on the car. Now there's an option to setup automatic reports at 5k 7500 and 10k. I had it set to 5k. So a few days later it prompts me again to run the report... So at this point I decline and I disable the automatic report since it appears it's buggy? I'm wondering what is triggering this report? There was no check engine light or anything out of the normal to trigger this report. I believe the last time was braking/slowing down to an intersection when it popped up but again no lights to indicate a problem and the report comes back clean. Anyone else seen this issue? Thanks

Have any of you noticed a residue or coating on the dash? I have a black interior and mainly on the passenger dash above the glove compartment I notice there's an uneven residue that is more glossy than below. I'm wondering if this is something that was applied at the factory because I saw it in more than 1 FFH that I test drove. It could be a protectant or sealant but it's uneven across the top of the dash so it's noticeable. It seems like there was plastic or something covering the glove compartment where part of the dash was not applied. I was thinking of applying like armorall or something but then I thought it would make the dash more glossy causing reflections in the windshield. Have any of you seen this and did you do something to correct it? If so what? Thanks BK

I'm wondering if the spoiler will increase wind drag and reduce fuel mileage? -
How often do you plan on changing oil
bkcarner replied to wstcoaster07's topic in General Discussion
Does Ford recommend synthetic oil since it's such a long interval for oil changes? I did 5k - 6k on my last car but I ran synthetic. 10k seems like a long time, I'm thinking of doing an oil change at 5k at least on the first oil change to make sure there's metal shavings or anything in the filter from the factory. Another thing, a buddy of mine has an older fusion (V6) but he said all oil change places charge him extra money for a special oil filter for the fusion that's required. Does anyone know if there's a special oil filter for the 2.5 liter motor too? Thanks -
Empower + Graph = Most info :) - Plus with Empower you can play the game to try to stay under the Gas power threshold for as long as possible!

I just bought my FFH on Saturday and I love it. The only major negative is the ride quality. There are a few more features I wished it had like smartkey, cooled seats, memory seats, homelink, and gas door lock. I did compare and test drive the Prius IV and almost bought it (put 500 down to hold it). I found that the Prius does have a softer ride. It's not as firm as the FFH(felt every bump in the road). But Prius doesn't switch from electric to gas as seamlessly as the FFH. The Prius also has some interior quirks like the shifter and the placement of the instrument panel in the middle. Also there are no power seats on the IV. The sales guy almost had me sold with quality/reliability being all Japaness parts and build. After sleeping on it and test driving the FFH again I knew I had to get it. The normal driving, interior, sportier exterior and features put it over the top. Toyota did make the Prius look a little sportier by changing the headlights/spoiler and such but it wasn't enough for me. I tried to test drive a Camry hybrid but there were none in north Dallas. I think the CFC deal sold them all? Toyota dealerships didn't have much inventory on Camrys after that deal. There are very few loaded FFH's around too. Only 1 on the lot at the dealership near me. I had to drive 1.5 hours to get the color combo I wanted... BK
