  1. I never buy warranties either and after extensively researching this car - chose not to buy the extended warranty.
  2. I've had my Milan Hybrid for a year and a half, put 46,000 miles on it so far and still love the car. Getting between 37mpg (winter) and 42mpg (summer). The heater fan was replaced while the car was still under warranty but that's been the only problem. The rear deck is kinda high so the rear camera makes sense. Mine is fully loaded. No complaints whatsoever.
  3. I wish they had seat memory and Homelink. Come to think of it I wish I knew they were going to create a 2011 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid or I would have waited for that!
  4. They've got to be kidding with the price! It'll be four or five years before I upgrade (unless the price goes up much more - in which case I won't upgrade at all)
  5. Yes. Sometimes that's the only way I can tell that they are on too.
  6. I'm wondering if the volume is different in different cars. If I have the radio (not loud either), I can barely hear the turn signal. Do we know if they are using electronic or mechanical flashers?
  7. The turn signal noise doesn't bother me either. Are we sure that this is an electronic sound rather than the actual mechanical sound of the turn signal relay? My father's Nissan Versa has the same sound with it's turn signal. If it isn't mechanical then is the flasher relay electronic? I'd love to change the turn signals to LED bulbs.
  8. Ford uses Motocraft Semi-synthetic oil but I switched out to Mobil 1 fully synthetic.
  9. Oil change is just as easy as any other car. Taking the oil drain and filter panels off added another step but didn't complicate anything.
  10. I "over-inflated" my last car's tires to 45 psi for better than 1 mpg return and saw no significant difference in the longevity of the tires or shocks. It was a 1996 Infiniti I30t with 210,000 miles on it and it only needed one set of shocks during the entire life of the car. I did notice a harsher ride with the last car but my MMH's ride seems to not be that bad with the over-inflated tires.
  11. I totally agree. If they ever offer an affordable conversion for that (which I doubt they would) I would definitely be interested.
  12. I'm getting around 39.2 with 8700 miles on the odometer. In the late summer and early fall I was getting a little over 40.
  13. If someone goes as far as breaking the window, it wouldn't surprise me if they popped the trunk with a crowbar anyway. The locks and alarm are meant as theft deterrents and little will actually prevent someone that wants in. I'd pull the trunk release button out and remove the wires off it if it were that important to me. By the way, cars that have a trunk cable release have no way of preventing a trunk entry if the window is broken either.
  14. I've got mine up to 42 psi and it rides pretty comfortable. It also seems that when the engine is cold that driving lightly at about 35-45mph get's the best fuel economy.
  15. You would have to check with your state laws but in New Jersey any window film on any of the windows on side or in front of the driver is illegal. The film itself is illegal supposedly due to it's blurring properties and not due to the darkness of the tint.
  16. In my case, it always seems that I average almost 40 mpg no matter what I try to improve my mileage. I drive about 75% highway so I'm happy with those numbers but I've seen as high as 45 mpg and as low as 38 on a tank of gas. I've inflated the tires to 40 psi and it still rides very comfortably.
  17. I don't think anything will unlock the travel link features since they are blocked by the navigation system and the dvd is locked by the car being out of "Park".
  18. I am just short of 5,000 miles on mine and I checked the oil to find that it looks slightly "dirtier" than fresh oil. I originally planned on changing it myself at 5K but I guess I'll let it go. It probably will make it to 10K at this rate.
  19. Do you think that maybe it's because they aren't broken in yet? I know that they coat the leather with some sort of coating. Maybe you got a defective batch or something like that.
  20. I will take a closer look at it and at my fuel economy as the weather gets colder. If I start losing a lot of mpg I'm going to experiment with at least a partial block. If I don't get the intended results I'll abandon the idea.
  21. I am also 6'2" and agree with FtLewis2002, the headrests aren't a problem at all for me or my passengers when the seats are reclined to where the rests don't stay in contact with your head. I find the seats more comfortable when they are slightly reclined and the top of my head doesn't hit the headliner on bumps either.
  22. The wheel on my MMH appears to be leather. I've had a leather-wrapped wheel in my last four cars and it doesn't appear much different than the others.
  23. I've been looking for someone that sells front grill blocks for winter for my MMH. I made one for my last car but it did leave marks on parts of the grill. The opening is huge and takes in a lot of air that isn't really necessary in the winter. The block would actually be beneficial to the aerodynamics of the car and would retain heat to the ICE which hopefully would cause quicker warm-ups and allow less time that the ICE is on. I'm just looking to cover the top grill and leave the bottom vents open or vice-versa but I'm having no luck finding anyone that sells them. If I continue to have no luck I may have my local canvas guy make me something that I could take on and off easily.
  24. If the car is clean then I'll take the wife's car. I also took her car when I had to drop off and pick up the dog.
