Ok I get it. But what do I use to get the rims extra shiny & glossy? (Just hand dry em?) (after I have washed them) And zi can still use the Mother's on the chrome on the front & back of the car!

Ok, just to be clear, I use Meguair's hot trim wheel cleaner on the rims, then Mother's chrome & aluminum polish. And to remove the dust from the roof, hood, and truck, I have to use a wash mitt? I thought I can just use the force of the water from the wand type car wash for that, and a wash mitt for the sides. Is this right? I am going to buy a sheepskin mitt from Canadian Tire. I have NOT used anything on my car but the water from one of those wand type car washes. So the doors, side panels & below the doors have NEVER been touched with a towel or chamois or anything. I understand there is dirt there. I wanted to check on what I should use before I start rubbing & scratch the crap out of my paint! so will get me a sheepskin mitt from Canadian Tire, then wash those areas with that. What about a Squeegee to get rid of most of the water?

Ok, so far, this is what I have found: DO: I usually go to a bay car wash & hose off the dirt. I either blow dry or use a SHAW W@W to dry off the car. But I still get streaks! But I have NOT used one of those washing mitts YET because I am scared of scratching my paint. I am going to get one of those genuine sheepskin washing mitts For the wheels, I spray on a mag wheel cleaner, let sit for 1 min or so, then hose off. Mag polish & then spray on Megs black tire look. Don'ts: Never take your car through a auto car wash. Those have a higher prob. of scratching your car paint. I know NOT to ever use those brushes in the car washes. Again, those trap dirt & will scratch. Never use a sponge, this will trap some dirt & scratch. Always dry the water off your car in a straight line, the way the water flows off the car, never use a circular motion , this might cause swirls. Questions: What about waxes? Paint sealant like 5 star shine? etc? What about taking my car to places like Ziebarts or Mings & getting a professional power polish & waxing once a year, say in the spring? Do car covers help or do they scratch? (wind blowing them a round, putting on & taking off = scratching the paint, etc)

Was looking at the car detailing vids on youtube. I THINK I got the basics down. Wash the car, either use a leaf blower or chamois to dry the car. Use a mag cleaner, spray on & hose off, then mag wheel polish, aerosol spray black tire product (not pump spray as it flies all over the place), interior clean wipes or a jay cloth & water, leather cleaner/moisturizer. (STAY away from armorall) I was looking at things like 5 star shine, which is suppose to bond to your car paint to protect it, so whats the truth about things like this?

my burnt MP3s on a cd do not show up in terms of song name or album or artist or anything like that. Its all shows up as unknown. So do I have to purchase my MP3s off iTunes in order to have all that info show up in my Fusion?

Every 5000 Kms (not miles, we be metric up here in Canada!) & I will use synthetic oil!

Ok, I went to the Sirius Canada site & entered my VIN. It told me that I have Sirius installed on my FORD & call this number to acitivate! What the heck??? It is already active!!!! :headspin: And Sirius travel link does not work in Canada. :banghead:

Its a little different in Canada. We do not get Sirius real time traffic alerts & all the other real time stuff. Are there certain USB drives that work with FORD sync? I tried one I got at BB. It had some word documents on it & 5 Mp3s, but once I plugged it in, it said there were no files it could recognize or something like that. Any ideas? I also went to the syncmyride web site & tried to download the program that will tell you what software you have on sync & it would not download. Here is what I get: Step 3: Install Files in your Vehicle Download Status: We weren’t able to download the following files: * SYNC Traffic, Directions & Information—Update 3.0 *** Perhaps it only works in USA.

I was told this by the dealership who got in touch with FORD. Apparently, there is known issues with the iTouch & the USB port in the 2010 Fusions. Mine was giving me a connection error/see dealership. SO they checked & reset it but contacted FORD. So until further notice, FORD recommends that you DO NOT use an iTouch in the 2010 Fusion USB port! FORD is working on a solution.

I get connection error/see dealer when I try & plug in any USB drive. Also get the same msg when I plug in an iTouch. Will the fuse pull out for 10 seconds trick work to solve this?

I have the single ( I think) cd player & it plays dvd movies when in park. So it can read them.

I think we are discussing the same antenna! mine is on the roof near the back. EDIT: HOLY CRAP! You can unscrew it! Now everytime I have to go anywhere, I will have to unscrew it! Someone might steal it! :headspin:

Ok, until I can find some 303, I am going with Meguiar's interior cleaner, Meguiar's leather all in one cleaner/protector/moisturizer , Turtle wax tire shine, and a rim cleaner & rim polish. Am trying to find one of those windshield screens, but so far no luck. I notice that the dark tint on the back side & back windshield keeps the sun out of the back leather seating & interior! I also noticed that if I want to use a car cover (say in the summer when it hits 25+C) I would have to cut a hole for the roof antenna! I take it the car covers are not easy to cut holes in!

I will prob use Meguiar's leather protective products on the leather. Whats wrong with Armor All on the dash? ( I know not to use it on the leather) Its been around for decades. If Armor All really made dashes crack like I have heard, would they not have been sued already?

In the manual, it says the leather is already treated with a clear protective coat from the factory. So is it necessary? Anyone use seats covers? I might get some just for the winter, then take em off in the spring, summer, and fall.

Ok, so I burnt an audio cd, but it does not display any of the song titles or artist names, it just sayd unknown title or unknown/untitled song. So it will not copy them to jukebox. Will jukebox ONLY copy from store purchased cds? Or do I have to burn a cd in MP3 format? ( I notice in audio format, there are no files or folders to arrange on the burnt cd)

A cd will hold about 15 tracks, so how many does a DVd hold?
