  1. Nothing too fancy: Installed the Fusion Sport Spoiler on the back Installed Molded mud flaps Chrome Light Bulbs for front signal lights.
  2. Top end near the plug. I was sure it was -15C could be -18C as you mentioned.
  3. I was travelling away from home when I had my Powertrain light come on and the ICE would not engage. Order of events from what I can recall: Started vehicle: Backed out of parking stall: Placed in Drive: Began accelerating and noticed the car picked up speed quicker then normal for the amount I pushed on the accelerator: Bing bong Bing bong, Powertrain (wrench) light comes on: As I bring the car to a stop at a stop sign, which seemed hard to do as the car wanted to keep accelerating as I pressed on the brake I then proceed to pull over into the next parking lot, when I noticed the ICE would not engage. I turned the car off, and on, performed a system check and everything is checking out fine. Has anyone else ran into this type of scenario? I'm glad it didn't happen again, especially on the highway while travelling home with family.
  4. Up here in Canada, mine hangs out for a good 6 months of the year. I haven't found a way to route it through the grill, but I also didn't try to hard last year. Last year I just hung it outside of the hood and let the hood close about 2cm past the temperature sensor. W/ the plastic covering, it never closed enough to pinch the wire. Just make sure you don't slam the hood on the temperature sensor, as it's used to not provide power to the block heater if the ambient temperature is above -15C.
  5. LOL that's funny. I ordered a Fusion Sport Spoiler, cost about $900 CDN, painted and installed. Have no idea if affects the gas mileage as I only had about 2000 km on the car before spoiler was put on. Love the looks of it!
  6. And rain sensing wipers w/ the Driver Visual Package.
  7. My build is also 1.0x, however not sure 200USD is worth the upgrade for us Canadians. Specially living in a smaller city.
  8. I've heard mine kick in a few times. I wouldn't say it's "loud", but it is noticeable when in EV mode and not pumpin' the tunes :D. Question and Answer from Owners Manual: Question: What is the fan noise I hear from the rear of my hybrid? Answer: The fan noise comes from a fan located inside the high voltage battery. This fan turns on when the battery requires cooling air. The fan speed, and associated noise level, will change according to the amount of cooling required to maintain good performance. Maintaining the battery temperature at optimal conditions also prolongs the useful life of the battery and helps to achieve better fuel economy.
  9. Yup it's your battery cooling, draws air from cabin for ventilation. Try not to block it. I'm not 100% sure, but it also might push air from batteries to cabin if trying to increase cabin temperature.
  10. Revived old post, and started new one here: Update is available here for $199.00 USD. V.2011. You will need the application number from your system to order that can be obtained by pressing the information or 'i' button on your Navigation system.

    Updateis now available!
  12. Of all the bells and whistles on my car, I cannot believe that there is no simple Windshield Washer Fluid Low warning. yup... that's about all I have to say :D
  13. Just to add, it's not necessarily the Internal Combustion Engine or the Hybrid System, but all the Environmental pieces that have to be warmed up ,mostly focusing on the Catalytic Convertor. This might explain why it turns white even if temp guage is low. Being in Canada, Winter driving is equivalent to 4cylinder gas engine, very little EV only mode. Long story short sounds like your car is running fine :D Good Luck
  14. Agreed, I find that if you start the car and shift into D or R before everything has finished "booting" up, I lose both the Sync Voice and Song/Artist song alert, however everything pops up on screen. Haven't tried nav when this happens, but can assume it's the same. A quick off on, let everything boot up fixes the issue for me.
  15. No such thing as Sirius Travelink for us Canadians. No Traffic, No Weather and No Sports, it's not available.
  16. So I now have over 13000km on my fusion hybrid, and well I've started noticing a few things. I've brought up the Celsius vs Fahrenheit issue before in another topic, when the vehicle is off and running in "auxilary mode for 10min" my controls for climate via the Sync Voice are in F instead of Celsius. Now the latest thing I noticed, is the AVG Fuel mileage on my dash is sometimes different then what the HEV on my Nav reports. Now it's only a .1 difference (ie dash says 7.2L/100Km and HEV says 7.3L/100Km), which leads me to believe they round differently or compute slightly differently. The above made me notice the folloing: Because I run my vehicle in metric settings, my readouts on the dash are for KM (ie Km to E, avg L/100Km). So when the car is ideling and in EV the dash reports 0 L/100Km, which is what I'd expect (equivalent to 60MPG + in Imperial Mode). However, my HEV meter will drop to 0 for a split second then shoot straight up to 30L/100Km. Now being a computer guy I thought, maybe it's just a default graphic display when the vehicle is in EV and ideling. However, watching the Fuel economy graph, on a 10minute stretch it showed the consumption as 30L/100Km. Anybody else notice this type of behaviour? If i can i'll take pics tomorrow.
  17. WIth the nice spring weather here in Saskatchewan, my car mileage has increased significantly, from approx 10L/100km in the winter to 7.2L/100Km and still dropping. Majority of it is city driving, I love seeing 860KM to E on a full tank. I hope I can hit the 1000 mark in summer :D
  18. Patience young padewon. I waited 14weeks in 2009 to get my 2010 Fusion Hybrid factory built and shipped to Canada. Ordered in April, received in August.
  19. Oh, thanks I was wondering about this too. I just let the other end hang up and my phone disconnects automatically. I will have to try the push and hold method.
  20. Your Fusion Hybrid has a CNCL option on the steering wheel? Mine is just RSM. Or do you mean the RSM if you press it while engaged will cancel the Cruise Control?
  21. Hey Sullied, I got it from Factory. To answer your questions: 1) - Yes 2nd Key Fob (at least for my One Way model) 2) - The ICE or Electric will run depending on demand (ie Cabin Climate Temps, Environment features warmed up such as Catalytic convertor). 3) - A/C compressor is electric driven, so if there is no other reason for the ICE to be running, it will start/run in Electric Mode. I'm in Saskatchewan and we see -40C up to +high 30C throughout the year. I haven't tested in the +30's yet: Long Story short, I have started my car using the remote, and of course in the winter, the ICE is on to start. It's been warmer lately and I tested the start, if the ICE is warm and A/C on it runs in EV mode. Hope this helps.
  22. 1) - Canada that's pretty much guaranteed, or at least a very good idea to have one. 2) - The plug is on the Passenger side snugged up against the front grill. Took me half a day to find it properly, but basically go from the Hood Latch towards the passenger side and you'll see the cord. it should be snug against the front of the car and in it's own clip. I can take a pic tonight and send it. 3) - Yes that is a poor reply if you ask me. On this model you'll have to take the cord from it's clip and "pinch" it between the hood, unless you can get the dealer to route it to the bottom front. Hope this helps.
  23. Travel Link sounds cool. Unfortunately not available in Canada. Here in Saskatchewan we don't have "freeways" or "interstates", so not much for traffic jams :D

On a slightly different note, and not to hijack the thread, I was looking into the GraceNotes Database update, and according to the GraceNote website: B. Device updates, including car navigation systems. 1. Updates provided only through your device developer. With different devices, each hardware developer probably uses a different way of providing updates for customers. There are a variety of reasons why developers need to do this (different methods to update, sizes of database, and frequency of updates). We recommend you write to the company who built your device and ask for help. They built the product, and they can tell you how they're providing updates for you. For car navigation system updates, the car company or your local dealer should be able to help you. Guess we'll have to wait for that one too. At least all my old CD's are picked up :D
  25. Just a note, I've had my sync at up as well, but turning off the engine doesn't do the trick. Due to the 12 minute "accessory" power, open and close your door after turning off the engine. This should reset/urn off your sync/radio system.
