  1. I purchased tires and rims with TPMS installed from Tire Rack, 16 x 7.5 rims and Continental 205/60R16 tires. The Fusion had no issues what so ever with the 16", Tire Rack recommends 16" winter tires. I recently totaled the car in a 45 mph near head-on collision, the air bags did not deploy. So now I have a set of stock summer 17" tires and rims. I started checking and they are ~$3500 to buy a set, $772 just for the 4 tires. Craigslist here I come!
  2. Why is it that I can buy a map update for my Garmin for $70 and the Ford version is $200, even from Navteq!
  3. I purchased them on ebay, yes they are 5000K not 5K. They are advertised as pure white, but they have a hint of blue.
  4. I replaced the low beams with 5000K HIDs, high beams with Nokya 5000K halogen and fogs with Silverstars. I also raised the aim by 1/2 turn up. :happy feet:
  5. Has anyone replaced the hi high beam bulbs in a 2010 FFH? Which way does the socket turn? The manual says see the dealer. Thanx in advance for information from anyone who has been successful! :banghead: Update: The bulbs twist counter clockwise to remove and clockwise to insert. The longer tabs on the bulbs line up with the securing screws. You may have to use a needle nose pliers to turn the bulb so the tabs are under the securing screw head as a bare hand may not have enough torque to achieve successful seating. Also helps to have a double jointed arm on the right side and takes only a couple of minutes on the left: remove the battery along with the air intake tube. Cheers
  6. I installed the 5K in my 2010 FFH, it took about 30 minutes per side. The 5K have a slight blue color, the 6K are more purple. I am very happy with the 5K. A friend installed the 6k and replaced them with the 5k. The higher you go in temperature the less light output is another thing to consider.
  7. I have changed rims on my FFH with replacement TPMS and have not had to reset. I did buy the reset tool when I purchased the tires, rims and TPMS from Tire Rack and have not needed it.
  8. Stick your foot in it hard, like a 16 year old male, and see what happens to your mileage! Not that I have tired it or anything. :hysterical: I have long term mileage of 39.8 after 8500 miles and a 3 month stint on 16" snow tires. :shift:
  9. I will have to switch to that, I always thought the leaves were hokey. I drive ~27 miles one way to work and have been getting 39.5 (winter) to 42 (summer). I have not paid much attention to the thermometer on the display, I will have to check it. I switched to a pure snow tire for the winter also. I also have a Prius, which the wife started taking as she drives on narrow streets, and prefer the histogram. If I had to give up one of the cars, it would be the Prius.
  10. I just ordered 205/60R-16 Continental ExtremeWinterContact XL tires on 16x7.5 Elbrus I04 BDC ICE rims mounted and Hunter balanced with TPMS from Tire Rack for $1065 shipped. They are in transit. I live in Denver and we are having a winter, I am getting sick of driving my 4Runner all the time. The stock Michelin are next to worthless on anything frozen. Tire Rack recommended the Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3 but I wanted a more aggressive tire. The website warned me about a harsh ride with the Continentals due to them being overrated for the application. They weigh 2 pounds more than the Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3s and are rated for a max load of 1565 lbs as opposed to 1389 lbs for the Michelins. 12/16 update: Got them and have about a 1/2 tank of driving, milage is 38.5 and the ride is not noticeably harsh. TPMS relearn was not even required.

I will let you know how mileage is after a couple of tanks.
  12. I use RainX all the time on headlights and windshield, it works great at speed. The rain just sheets off in tiny beads.
  13. Where did you order it, do you have a link for the site? Thanks in advance!
  14. Yes you can cancel, but there is a fee. My dealer, Phil Long Ford, waiver the cancellation fee due to some unresolved issues. The Finance department sold me the ESP at a highly inflated price and was totally unwilling to match. The Finance manager gave the same BS about the online ESPs not being a Ford ESP. I contacted the dealer offering the ESP and checked out their contract, they will send it to you to check out, and it was the exact same thing I had received from the Finance department at Phil Long Ford. So is was finally resolved with a complete refund and they have a happy customer. The sales department was totally up front and got the issue settled to my complete satisfaction, kudos to Phil Long Ford in Colorado. Did I get my dealers name in the enough, I watch NASCAR! Good Luck. :sos:
  15. Those were an optional tire that Tire Rack recommended. Please keep us informed!
