  1. How about a knife, or tool sheath? I've got an old Gerber Multi-Pocket Pocket Tool sheath made from strong, flexible nylon fabric, that the key fits into, perfectly. It's 2 1/2" W x 5"L x 1/2" thick. It can go inside your pocket, or clip onto a belt. 2. No, I live 8 miles away (not minutes) from where I work in Fountain City, but it's such a nice ride to get there. I haven't personally experimented with 100% gas, not even sure where there is any in the area, but do me a favor, and post your results. I mean, is there a noticeable improvement? Alvin Frye's Exxon, on Broadway, had it until a few months ago, they had a big sign out front that read 100% gas! :) Haven't been to Harbor Freight to buy anything, but yes, I know where it is. I drive by there at least once everyday. It's not on my own route, but I might have delivered mail there, once or twice.
  3. The UK, land of the round-abouts! Is it raining, yet :hysterical: AJ, where are you assigned, and with what unit? I was with the Civil Engineers at RAF Alconbury/Molesworth from '96 - '97. Lived in Great Stukeley, right down the road from one of John Majors vacation homes, the old PM. What an awesome tour of duty. Thanks for your service, fellow comrade! You should have qualified for a bit of a discount from Ford. Enjoy the ride along those magnificent country roads! And welcome home, in advance.
  4. What a landslide! How about a few tons of massive rock :devil2: raining down upon a new FFH? No, I wasn't traveling that far, so just missed it. Got off at Exit 440, headed to Cosby. The weather was spectacular, as was the hike. Yes, Powell is the sleepy little town :boring: just north of Knoxville. Close enough for convenience, while just far enough to escape it all. It's a quick 8-mile ride to work, and in the mornings, I get 45 - 51mpg's. On the return trip after work, it slips to 35 - 45mpg's, depending upon how the day transpired :hysterical: The AJ HWY (Andrew Johnson) is the 11E road that travels to Morristown, via New Market and Jefferson City. It's not an interstate, but a nice secondary road, slightly north and parallel to I-40/I-81.
  5. Ever since my reconditioning occured, the degree of battery recharging has definitely increased. Before, it always seemed to charge-up and stay at 1/2 state of charge, seldom only reaching 3/4. Now, according to the green graph, the battery charges all of the way to the top, and it seems to do so with a mind all of it's own, without any help from the driver.
  6. Hi VonoreTN, How's things, neighbor? I'm in nearby Powell! Going to the Smoky Mtns next Sunday, to see the colors. I often go to Morristown TN, via AJ Hwy. If I'm careful, then I can amass 51 mpg, on the 94-mile roundtrip. It does require patience, though, but it's 4-lane and there's plenty of room for speedier drivers to safely go around. It's a nice ride. Happy motoring!!
  7. Got mine done all of the way past (underneath) the gaskets. Go to tintdude.com forum section. There's TONS of info about that issue in there, plus any and all you need or want to know about tinting. Here's the direct link to the Fusion part: http://www.tintdude.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=21464 Good luck.
  8. Soon as splashguards are finally available, I'll slap 'em on and find out. Could be wrong, but my guess is that it won't make enough of an impact to matter. I'm currently at 43.2 mpg, so could spare a mpg. If it's too severe of an impact, can always just remove them.
  9. Here's what's happened three times this past week, differing from the previous norm: Starts in EV mode, roll down the hill, briefly tap the accelerator to merge into traffic, which starts the engine, and go the short distance (40 yards) to the red light. While stopped at the red light, the engine's been continuing to run, though, for up to several minutes, even though the battery was already half-charged. That's what differs from the past norm where the engine would always shut down at that red light. Not sure if that qualifies as 'reconditioning", though? Maybe it's just got something to do with cooler temperatures?
  10. the little blue pill is supposed to work..........for droopiness :hysterical2: sorry, couldn't resist
  11. Just some harmless curiosity for two-car owners: do you keep an eye on the weather, before deciding which one to climb into? If there's definitely inclement weather in store, do you choose an alternate mode of transportation, instead of taking a shiny newer one outside? Love the FFH, but I'm driving the truck to work today, because it's going to be nasty out
  12. Oh, bull :censored: . Never once, in all my life, through all of my travels around the world, did I ever feel inclined to mess with someone's ride, home, or any other personal property, simply because it contained a flag or banner that announced a personal affection or affiliation, with whatever! By the way, you crossed the line and that was completely uncalled for. Nice that you feel confident, safe, and secure enough to disrespect my nephew from afar. You wanna get personal and insult one of my family members again, next time, why not do so in a PM, and NOT publicly.
  13. No doubt about it, a lot of misconduct is personal in nature, no argument there. Irregardless, in the end, it's really irrelevant. It's unlawful and undeserved. It doesn't matter what "anyone did", nor the frequency in which it occurs. I don't blame anyone for taking a precautionary measure to try and avoid such of a destructive act, be it provoked or unprovoked.
  14. Haven't they been gaining in both market share and customers?
