  1. I let it expire, then a month later I got a letter for $20 for 5 months. So I took it. I only listen to BPM, but I figure $4 a month is worth that one channel.
  2. No, you are correct. That is exactly the reason. Batteries do not like cold weather.
  3. I have a 2010 hybrid with all the bells and whistles. I never had any bulb out warning of any kind (even when I turned the car on with all lights disconnected).
  4. Someone needs to make a mat that covers the dead pedal area. I have the OEM all-weathers and I have salt encrusted all over the dead pedal area. It sucks and it's going to be impossible to clean.
  5. My low beams do not flash when the alarm is triggered, just the hazards. I have had one issue with the HIDs being switched off and on frequently. It was an overcast day and I went under a lot of bridges which triggered the autolights, then they switch off 5-10 seconds later. This happened 4-5 times over 5 minutes. 20 minutes later when I got home and drove into the garage, the autolights did not turn on. My garage is dark so normally when I drive into the garage the lights come on. They didn't, so I thought my lights were dead or something. I switched from auto to on and they still wouldn't come on (The fogs worked, however). I turned off the car completely, turned it on and they worked again. I'm not sure what exactly happened, but it hasn't happened since. I don't know how OEM systems deal with this situation, but to me this just seems like something you have to be wary of with HIDs. They shouldn't be switched on and off quickly. On overcast days like that I turn the lights off or on instead of leaving them on auto. The lights turn on for about 20 seconds every time I unlock the car in the dark which is normal. This hasn't created any problems. I think its the difference between doing it once and doing it 5-6 times in a short period of time.
  6. Wow that's impressive. Sounds like you have a pretty good dealer. I'll probably wait until the summer. Maybe they can do other updates to the system while I'm there.
  7. How did turbotax get the form? It is not even on the IRS's own website. If you look at the pdf turbotax generates does it actually say form 8910 2009?
  8. I filled out my taxes online (Taxact) and got to the end and it says the IRS hasn't finished Form 8910 yet. That is the Hybrid Credit Form. So we basically have to wait until they get off their asses and finish the form. I googled the form # and apparently they only have a draft version of the 2009 form, or the final 2008 form, both of which won't do the job. Oh well. I guess we just have to wait.
  9. I think its spot on. I didn't take it that the problem was with the nav itself, but the buttons and knobs. Its button overload and they are all the same size and very close together. It's bad design. Try to use the steering wheel controls with gloves on, its a nightmare!
  10. The sunglasses holder that is too small to hold sunglasses. Brilliant idea Ford! I put my garage opener in it so I guess its not completely useless.
  11. I guess I'll chime in with my experiences after 8000 miles. I drive the speed limit, 90% highway @ 70mph. I don't do any weird hypermiling things 50+ Degrees = 38-39mpg 30-40 Degrees = 35-37mpg 20-30 Degrees = 33-35mpg 0-20 Degrees 31-33mpg Elevation seems to play a fair part as well. I noticed on my 50 mile commute (1 way) I was getting 41 on the way to work, but 39 on the way home. I went to the info screen on the nav and looked up the elevation gps info and my work is about 250 feet lower than my house.

    Butt Print

So I've had my 2010 with leather for about 4 months and I seem to have developed a butt print in the driver's seat. I'm the only one who drives it and I drive a good 100 miles a day. Has anyone else experienced this?? I've never had a car develop a seemingly permanent butt print before. How do I get rid of it? It looks pretty bad, its got each cheek and the crack mark and everything!
  13. I had this too! On my FFH 2010 with moonroof. It also only happened when it was very cold and it only happened 2 times. It hasn't happened in a couple months even though its been very cold since then. Sorry I don't have any answers, but its good to know other people have experienced this.
  14. I had the 3M film installed. Mirrors, bumper, and about halfway up the hood. Came to about $850 or so. It's not noticeable far away (beyond 4 feet), but up close it is. I live is michigan where dump trucks can carry twice the load of any other state, and I drive almost exclusively on the highway, so I consider it a must. In 5 years I'll be able to take it off and have a front end that looks brand new. That is worth it to me. If I remember correctly the xpel fusion kit is pretty expensive. If you want to do it yourself the kit itself is at least $500. So I basically paid half for the kit, half for installation. If you drive mostly on the highway you have to get it IMO. Rock chips at that speed are killer.
  15. Just log in to ford owners. Everyone has an account there, right? You get access to every manual for your car. Navigation, sync, etc.
