  1. 225/50-17 = 25.85" dia 205/60-16 = 25.68" dia There is not enough difference in dia to matter. Less than 1% difference. I seriuosly doubt if the '10 Fusion TPMS sensors will be compatible with the '05 Mazda wheels. But anything is possible.
  2. If you don't care how your car looks all Winter, go with the 16s. Personally, I'll be mounting (4) 235/45-18 Bridgestone Blizzaks on my factory 18" wheels. And use my existing 235/45-18 Generals & Sport Tuning Flight wheels in the summer.
  3. I had that on my '10 Fusion. It looked like silicone or some other substance used as a "mold release" when the part was manufactured. Typically the metal molds used for parts like these are sprayed with something to keep the molten plastic/rubber from sticking to them. I removed most of it by wiping with a rag soaked in the same glass cleaner I use on my windows. I think Armor All on that part is a bad idea. It will make the part shiny, but you really want it to be as non-gloss as possible.
  4. If you flip the mirror over, it'll work better. But it looks damn stupid, and the compass is now 180 degrees off too!
  5. 2010 SEL AWD V6, Brilliant Silver, Medium Light Stone leather, 301A package w/Moon & Tune, factory decklid spoiler, 235/45-18 tires & Sport Tuning 18x8 "Flight" wheels.
  6. Please do. This is getting ridiculous!
  7. Stone chip that was never touched up? Bare metal rusts.
  8. Car manufacturers use the black dots and/or the solid black mask to hide the ugliness behind the glass. On older cars a lot of the edges of windows were hidden by moldings/chrome. Most newer cars don't have any. The statement about the sun visors is also correct.
  9. Bought the wheels, tires, sensors as a package. The car never knew the wheels were changed. No warnings on dash or anything.
  10. I hope you don't rule out aluminum alloy wheels. 99.5% of all aftermarket wheels are aluminum alloy. The difference is in the finish. Some are left bare (bad idea), some are painted, some are machined and usually clear-coated, and some are chromed. I do not recommend ASA or OZ wheels. The clear coat on them always tends to peel, or get discolored. The "Sport Tuning" wheels sold by Tire Rack are made in China, but are pretty nice, and many types have decent warranties on the paint/finish. I have the "Flight" Sport Tuning wheels on mt '10 Fusion and so far am happy with them.
  11. I always wondered what "lifetime" means in car years/miles. Huh?
  12. You can buy stick-on convex/fisheye lens mirrors. One word of advice I can offer is to make sure they are real glass mirrors and not the junky WalMart-style chromed plastic ones.
  13. That's really strange, because: Removal and Installation 1. Remove the glove compartment. 2. Detach and remove the cabin air filter access door. 3. NOTE: The RH flap on the cabin air filter must be deflected downward to clear the glove compartment damper when removing and installing the filter. Remove the cabin air filter. 4. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Copyright ã 2009, Ford Motor Company Last updated: 02/12/2009 2010 Fusion, Milan, MKZ, 8/2009 Originally posted in blueovalforums

  15. Several of us have been in contact with Ford about this and they said they'd have correct molded splash guards for all '10 Fusions by sometime in October, maybe. Look here: Ford Fusion Forum
  16. Yes, I see no problem with mine.
  17. I find that when I'm in urban areas, or areas where traffic is heavy, that the tempurature will read higher than what the weatherman says it is. I think this is because the car's sensor is picking up heat off the road, as well as heat from other vehicles. Once I get out into more open, less congested areas the tempurature readout agrees pretty well with the real tempurature.
  18. The only time I would ever take a car to the dealer is for warranty work. The "service" department at most dealers just rip you off.
  19. Yep, that's how they are making stuff these days. Mine's the same way. There probably should be a molding on that edge, but that would add cost. So, by design, Ford saved a buck or so by leaving it off. Do that in 1000 places, that $1000 per car that Ford can save. Although I don't see the prices coming down, even with Mexican labor!
  20. Has anyone ever gotten Ford to address this issue? I think the spoiler is blocking the sensors on the mirror. Mine works maybe 20% of the time. Does not matter how it is adjusted either.
  21. There is a "monochrome package" now available on SEL and Sport 2010 Fusions. It gets rid of the chrome, and paints the grille body color, and I'd be willing to bet that chrome trunklid piece gets painted too. Check it out: Appearance Packages
  22. It doesn't always do what I want it to do. Maybe I need to RTFM? That's probably it.
  23. Add another vote for Meguiar's Gold Class Leather Cleaner/Protectant. Good stuff, have used it on many vehicles with no problem ever.
  24. Why bother? I have the automatic climate control in my SEL and I find myself overriding it a lot. Manual operation is better, IMHO.
