  1. The Eagle Talon could maintain a 10º ET range across all those climate ranges, let alone just varying from stop-n-go to hwy speeds a summer commute? Truly a masterpiece of engineering! Most of the cars I've seen in many decades of driving would be considered very successful if they stayed within a 40º range over those OAT extremes. I'm sure Ford doesn't care where you live, they don't want to design different bodies for different latitudes/altitudes. The days of having to re-tune your Rocky Mountain car for a trip to sea level or vice versa are long gone. Haven driven from San Diego beaches through LA/Central Valley heat to Mt St Helens snow in ~12hrs (have to love the pre-radar days in Ca!), good riddance I say. Just get in, gas up, caffeine up and drive.
  2. One grill opening that passively allows ideal engine temp in Death Valley summer and Yellowknife winter? Don't think it's ever been done.
  3. Manufacturing costs of SUV's, cross-overs and cars are pretty much the same, but they came charge much more for something perceived as "more". If "practicality" was a significant issue in sale, the coupe-style body wouldn't sell at all, let alone be the rage (this body-style also proves Americans most certainly will buy hatchbacks). And many with AWD/4WD can't even start moving on a snowy slope (think early X-6 - haven't checked lately). Most of them are just tall-car station-wagons or stylish mini-vans with bloated prices. Give me a hybrid 5-dr, or an AWD Sport 5-dr or Estate (probably closest to 50:50 balance - could be a real sleeper family car).
  4. Any Ford Reps still on here?
  5. A little better city/worse hwy than the Rav4 Sport my bro is looking at.
  6. That's pretty much what I concluded - just figured with the huge banner the Registry gets it might be an active thing.
  7. So I'll assume, due to the non-response from the Registry, that it is no longer maintained. And I'd guess by the response to this topic, no one noticed.
  8. Anyone know if/where you can get a copy of your car's build sheet? I ordered the window sticker, but build sheets weren't offered.
  9. I'll expand the question to include: If you ordered a decal, did you receive it? Since they don't answer Contact Us queries and the website is down, my guess is the registry folded.
  10. Ok. I'm not sure if the Sport doesn't have a different lower valance/grill shape..
  11. Switches only about £45 on eBay, but the sellers are charging £1000 shipping to US. Going to have to hunt down some old Merkur/Sierra contacts in UK/DE.

Too busy? Maybe on a Sport
  13. Grill looks sharp! Is that the Sport under grill? Also leaning towards the WeatherTech brand deflectors.
  14. Haven't looked into grills yet - would be more inclined if mine was a Sport. Does it effect the active airflow control? What brand of wind deflectors? Any issues with them? Can't stand the stick-on kind.
  15. 240 x 182 7.2 KB - no joy. Well, I've come this far in life w/o a pic so I'll probably live.
  16. Maybe get ss fittings from McMaster-Carr with dust caps and some anti-seize?
  17. Tried that - nada. What are the size limits of the pic?
  18. Found Steeda's hood strut kit that works with their tower brace - a little more complicated to install, but nothing major.
  19. What did you get? Like it? Does it have a park mode (monitor for collision/tampering)? Did it ever come in handy in an accident, traffic stop or . . . ?
  20. Looks like it has proximity detection and varying levels of response.

    Wrong bolt pattern Too busy?Too
  22. Or more importantly, get a response? I used "Contact Us" a couple times to ask if they do certificates for the Hybrid or Fusion Registries and haven't received a reply. Anyone decal their FFH?
