  1. My driving pattern was too varied to determine electric range change, I can say that my average MPG went down approx. 2 after I changed to the 19's. From about 62 to 60-61 depending on some other factors. There is definitely a change but it is not that great.
  2. Correct, they are the "H" not the "Y" style... I should have known better when I made the post!
  3. Due to an unexpected circumstance that has Ford buying back my 2014 Fusion Energi Titanium, I now have my recently purchased set of 19" Titanium H-Spoke wheels and tires for sale. These were new take-offs that I bought from the big eBay seller in Michigan about 3 1/2 months ago. They now have 3,300 miles of use on them. The condition is excellent. 2 wheels have a tiny scratch near the lug nut area from the seller where it looks like a socket touched the rim but it is only noticeable if you are looking from about 12 inches away. No scratches from my use, no curb hits, etc. Really great condition. I had not planned to sell these but now that my FFE is going back to Ford I had to return the car to stock and I am not planning on another FFE, at least not right away. I thought I would offer these to the community before I put them on eBay. Priced for quick sale - $1550 shipped using fedex ground. Setup is exactly as I received them, with OEM TPMS, caps, etc. This is a really great upgrade for a Fusion with smaller wheel, somehow these lower profile tires have better ride quality and lower road noise than the stock 17" Michelin's, as well as looking great on the car. Fitment is perfect, or course being OEM parts. Here are a couple pictures. I can send more / higher res via email if interested. Just pm me. Thanks for looking!
  4. In my case, the dealer replaced one motor mount but that did not fix the problem. The dealer is still thinking it is a mount issue and wants to replace the other 2. Problem is, one of the two has been on back order for the last 3 weeks, meanwhile the noise was getting worse. My car is now sitting at the dealer waiting for the back order mount to arrive, hopefully this will happen sometime next week and this fixes the problem.
  5. Do you think the spare would clear the rear caliper if you used a 5mm spacer between the hub and rim? Since you had to remove so little material it seems like it might work that way, too.
  6. I communicated back and forth with the seller, these are not OEM Mondeo HL, but are a type of reproduction using Chinese projectors and hardware. The bixenon is an Audi Q5 style (slightly rectangular) projector. The seller sent me some addl photos and they look pretty good. The white LED DRL needs to be powered separately from the plug connection, and I suspect the HID will also need the same wiring mods as other HID setups for our cars. The price is not bad for new housings, and the styling is unique. I suspect they would look pretty good installed. One negative depending on your point of view is the lack of orange reflex reflectors, however genuine mondeo HL will also lack this part.
  7. Recently my 2014 Fusion Energi (with about 5,000 miles) has developed a noticeable “clunk” when accelerating from low speeds, and will “clunk” again when the brake is operated. This can be repeated over and over again, obviously something is loose or some kind of interference is occurring that causes a clunk that can be heard and felt as the drivetrain is loaded and unloaded using throttle and brake. I took it in to the dealer yesterday, and they initially reported that it was “normal” and that the “electric brake makes all kinds of unusual noises”. I persisted that the issue was new, that my C-Max Energi with 15K miles did not have this problem and that if this were “normal” then Ford would not be selling any of these cars. I insisted that they take another look at it, and a few hours later the SM called me back to say that they “replicated the problem” and that there is a TSB for it related to some foreign object in the motor mounts. I googled it and came up with this: · NHTSA Reference#10054343 · TSB Reference#ASI-44195 Description: FORD: POWERTRAIN/TRANSAXLE WHINE, THUMPING OR CLUNKING OR TIPPING IN OR OUT OF THROTTLE OR A TACTILE VIBRATION, WHENEVER BRAKING IS DUE TO FOREIGN OBJECT LODGED IN POWERTRAIN MOUNTS. MODEL 2013 C-MAX, 2013-2014 FUSION, MKZ. Due to backlog of work, the dealer will not be able to look at for about a week. In the meantime, I would really like to see what this TSB says. Does anybody have the ability to obtain this TSB without cost? I can get it through a service but there is a fee. Anybody else experience this? Thanks!
  8. Either way would work, I just prefer to not interface directly with the fuse box using an external tap. Also, my setup included an external module that is mounted to the center console so it needed power to come up from the lower console anyway. The tap a fuse method might be a little easier to install since you won't have to take apart the console, just the lower dash panel.
  9. I just installed a Blendmount in my Energi which has all the windshield mounted electronics. The one they shipped fits well but it has a little more gap between the mirror and detector than what I would prefer. Blendmount says they may have a better solution that fits closer but I haven't seen it yet. I wired mine to the middle console 12v acc plug via the A pillar, there were many plastic panels to pop off but it was straightforward using plastic trim removal tools. I also installed a Escort Live power module (with a Redline detector) and the setup works great. I have been a longtime V1 user and that is a great detector but I am now sold on the Redline / Escort Live setup.
  10. Thanks for this information. I checked last night and the lights turn from blue to red when the ignition is on. No change when it is off, but the color is already blue right now so there would not be a change in this scenario. I'll change it to some other color tonight and see if it changes to blue with the ignition off. But, it sounds like my car is working normally. Thanks again.
  11. I just took delivery of a 2014 Fusion Energi Titanium, and I have a question about how the ambient lighting functions that I hope someone can help me with. My question relates to how the ambient lighting changes color when a door is opened. We have a 2013 CMAX Energi, and in this car the normally blue ambient lighting changes to red for the door that is opened (the rest of the car remains blue, just the open door lighting changes). I have seen this same thing in a few Ford Escape SUV’s that I have rented so I assumed that this was standard operation. But, my new Fusion Energi does not do this – the opened door light color remains blue. Is this normal for other Fusions? Is there a setting to enable it? It is not a big deal if the 2014 Fusion does not work the same as the 2013 CMAX and Escape ambient lighting setups, it just seems a little strange that it does not in this car and I would like to know if this is normal behavior. Any feedback would be appreciated!
