  1. My aunt's Toyota SUV has a central display that will display the tire pressures - I wonder why Ford left this off the Fusion? (if it's there, I can't find it!)...
  2. Had the update performed about two weeks ago and the lifetime average was creeping up, but I didn't do the battery disconnect step. Did that yesterday and will keep and eye on it the next few days to see if there is any improvement over my regular commute.
  3. Just finished installing the lighted sill plates on my 2013 Titanium and couldn't be happier. I found them on eBay for $173 (instead of the dealer $295) brand new. Came in an OEM Ford box with excellent instructions. The wiring and wire routing wasn't too difficult but soldering to the connector with limited space was a bit of a bear. The illumination panel for the word "Fusion" is an opaque plastic and get's its blue color from the LED itself. If one was brave enough they could change the LED for a different color. Would have been nice for Ford to use an RGB LED to match to programmed color of the interior. I had the LEDs hanging loose after hooking them up and putting everything back together and they are super bright. I was really surprised at how warm they got! One thing I wasn't expecting is that the top of the word "Fusion" is visible when the doors are closed and provides a nice ambient lighting at night - looks pretty cool and I've gotten positive comments on it. Happy with the mod! Time to put my <1000 mile OEM sill plates on eBay! ;)
  4. How about a sticker that says "Your car sucks and mine doesn't!" - On second thought, that'd get ya shot at here in Texas ;)
  5. I have to fight with dealers all of the time about this when I buy a new car. I tell them straight up that I won't take delivery of a car with their sticker on it - I'm not a free rolling advertisement for your dealership! If you look closely at your invoice, sometimes they will even try to CHARGE you for the "pleasure" of advertising the dealership. One of those "rolled-in" costs. If it comes with vanity license plate frames from the dealership, I'll bring them back once my new plates arrive. I can't stand stickers on new paint - causes the paint to fade unevenly leaving an outline of the sticker and lowering the resale value IMHO.
  6. Added Teal in Channelview, TX (closest color I could come to Ice Storm)
  7. Here's mine: Love: 1) Driving a hybrid and looking a heckuva lot nicer than a Prius doing it. 2) Spending 1.5x less in gas than my 2005 Ford Five Hundred Trade in 3) Traffic (never thought I'd say that!) 4) Ragging my office coworker with a Prius that I can go fast on EV and he can't! (updated PCM) 5) The optional Baby Seal Skin seats... so smooth! Hate: 1) Being a Conservative and getting ragged by my friends for driving a hybrid 2) That my optional Baby Seal Skin seats were so expensive! ;) 3) The dirty looks I get for driving a hybrid (hey! It's the gas prices buddy! Not the politics!)
  8. Sounds like Ford may have put a "passive" RFID tag inside the FOB for just such a contengency (read by a near-field reader in the center console). Anyone want to pull their battery out and give it a try? ;)
  9. I like question #1, much friendlier than question #2 IMHO! Congratulations on the test ;)
  10. Like some others, my FFH has learned where Home is but (again, like some others) I park in a garage at work and have yet to get an EV+ mode indicated going there. With less than 600 miles on the car, this may be expecting a lot at this stage but I'm in EV mode mostly in downtown Houston. On a side note, it's a challenge going up 10 levels in a parking garage in EV mode only ;)
  11. Wow, and I thought >I< was the only one who liked the Five Hundred. Huge trunk, tons of space for the back-seaters and overall a very nice car but can't hold a MPG candle to my 2013 Fusion Titanium Hybrid. Thought I would miss the 500 but am proud to say I like my FFH (Ford Fusion Hybrid or Ford Five Hundred? LOL) better.
  12. All three of you kind folks had it right. They did indeed update the MFT and the defaults were present. Went out and reset them and now have my warning bars back! Neighbors kind of looking at me funny backing in and out of the driveway up to the garage door hahaha. Works fine now, let's see how the upgrade works! :)
  13. 1st Post: Just got mine updated today after owning it less than two weeks, ~512 miles so I don't have much to compare it to. I mainly had it done to cut down on the amount of horns and finger-flipping here in Houston. So far, nothing untoward as far as the car drives. I got it up to 70 and the EV did indeed kick in although I'll probably just drive the speed limit to keep the other drivers tempers under control. After the update, drove straight home and backed into the driveway and noticed something very odd - the "caution bars" on the back up camera did not come on as I was backing up to the garage door (you know , the green, yellow and red bars across the distance lines). I would have hit it had the distance beeping not started sounding furiously. It never did this before and always worked fine but odd to see it missing after the update! I'll update the thread after a few days and see if it re calibrates itself and comes back on but I really like that feature and hope it didn't go away permanently after the update - would have to make another trip to the dealer
