It took my first road trip in my FFHyTi. The ride was smooth on highway as well as city roads. I did 70/75 mph on highways (80 at times) with some local city driving. The mpg ranged between 35 - 38 on highways & 42-51 in the city. Over all the average came around 38.5 mph as 80 -90% of those 900 miles were highway miles. For my daily commute of 20/30 miles, mpg averages out somewhere around 38-45. Hope this info helps for folks who are new owners & haven't taken road trips on their FFH YET ..:-) Thanks.

Thanks all. My dealer's service guy told me something similar that it is from the factory.

wow, that's really odd. I wonder what that might be for. Did you get something done after from your dealer .. say any protector shield covering, rust proof job etc ..? Can you click some pics & post it ?

I was just checking Tire Mobility kit in the trunk under the trunk mat & found black & brown patch on each side (screenshot below). I'm taking my car to the dealership this eve to find out what it is. Have anyone seen this on their fusion hybrids ? Thanks

EPA test is totally unrealistic

Thanks guys (Hybridbear, Jeff_h, Corncobs & Waldo) for the input, appreciate it. In one of the topics in the forum i read folks mentioning about few models having issues with the EPA. So was just curious whether mine is one of them but I have NO intention of getting rid of my Hy Ti. Corncobs, I'm not far from 53 in Lisle. We can get together sometime for sure. I'm thinking of getting my windows tinted. Do you know anyone around the area who does a decent job & is cost effective? -
Has anyone got a VIN for their 2014 FFH yet?

I ordered my 2014 Fusion Hybrid (no heated steering wheel or cooled seats) on Memorial day (May 27th) & picked up the car on Aug 31st. So i believe the wait is about 2/3 months. Heated steering wheel & Cooled seats have a material hold till November so one may not see their car before January of next year if they have ordered with these options. -

I picked up my New 2014 fusion Hybrid Titanium 10 days ago with full tank of gas. One thing I wanted to bring to your attention regarding the mileage & the software update on the Fusion hybrid. I noticed that my gas tank is below half now and I've driven only 180 miles. Given the tank capacity of 13.5 gallons, if we take the average would come to around 25 mpg. The average reads around 34 mpg (80% of that miles are city driven) & all those miles were always below 45-50 miles/hr speed. Isn't the Fusion hybrid suppose to stay in battery mode up till 62 mph (except for accelerating and inclines) . I learnt that the re-calibration / PCM update allows the car to travel up to 85 mph in EV mode. Also learnt that few cars are performing below average & Ford recommends to make the dealership aware of this first before contacting them. My dealer is suggesting to wait for 6000 miles before we see improvement. I don't think one has to wait that long to get near the claimed estimates. If this is the case than i would be better off with gasoline model & save few thousand dollars. My dealer won't even consider an exchange as it is now a USED vehicle (with 180 miles on it) Any suggestion /advise would be helpful. Thanks -

I would still prefer my Sterling Grey Metallic, Bordeaux Reserve, White Platinum & Tuxedo Black over this new Dark side.

Well, I saw a Ruby Red Hybrid yesterday in Downtown Naperville (Suburbs of Chicago) parking garage. It was not Ti but man it looked so damn good in that Exterior color with tinted windows. I hope my Sterling grey Metallic would look equally good if not better. Does anyone in the forum have grey exterior Fusion ? I came across the New Dark Side Exterior color which are new on Fusion, Taurus & Explorer. I've posted pictures under the below forum http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/7212-2014-fusion-colors-any-info-pics-on-new-colors-dark-side-sunset/ Hope it helps for folks seeing this info.

OK, so i got a chance to see 2014 dark side exterior color on 2014 Explorer. It'll be same on 2014 Fusion, Taurus & Explorer. It is almost black ( you won't be able to tell the difference unless you see it real close) with a hint of green. Attached are few pictures .. Hope this helps for folks seeing this info.

The info on 2014 Fusion is out on ford.com but the new colors Dark side & Sunset pics on the website are not very revealing. I asked with the ford rep via chat, they informed me that the Sunset is like Burnt orange which is very dark orange & Dark side is almost black with hint of very dark green. I contacted my dealer he told me that Dark side is almost black with hint of very very dark grey ... I'm confused as to where to get the right info from ? I've already put in the order for 2014 fusion HyTi in Sterling Gray Metallic color & was seriously considering to change the order to Dark side. Any info/Pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ford Fusion HyTi Owner.
