  1. Here is a picture of the intake resonator. Lincoln MKZ is the same as a Fusion Energi. Or Fusion Hybrid.
  2. The only difference when you install Titanimum lights on the SE is the center red on the outside lights remain on continuously, much like the SE lights. When you appply the brakes the center light becomes brighter. I now have a 2016 Energi Titanimun and the the only light that is on continuously is the ring, with the center light illluminating only when the brake is applied. With my 2013, I liked the additional light to the rear, using the Titanimun lights on the SE.
  3. To get the Energi’s quoted mileage, you need to drive at city speeds, without air or heat. Heat is worse for battery range. When I do my job with battery management, I get the quoted estimated mileage in the city, this is without heat or air. Freeway mileage set at 70 to 75 on Eco-Cruise, I will get 32 to 35 mpg. Battery management is, L in the city below 45mph, D when above 45mph. L is nice in the city, because regen is more aggressive and you can almost drive one pedal, this is with steady traffic and moderately changing speeds.
  4. Just for giggles, here is side view of my 2016 front license bracket/frame. My 2013 had the same bracket/frame. The grill design on the 2017 is different than a 2016. The front bracket/frame was redesigned to fit the new contour. With my frame design, the screws would go into the bumper cover, not good. I do like that the tabs are now on the bottom, more stable.
  5. On the front license plate bracket, the two screws go on the bottom of the plate. There are two tabs on the upper part of the license plate bracket, the license plate goes under these tabs and the screws are used on the bottom of the plate.
  6. These "holes" are filled with a soft material to grab and prevent the screw from backing out due to vibration. The three holes match different states or country's, license plate mounting holes. There is no need to drill anything. Two screws for the front and two for the rear. There should be two small flexible protrusions below the 3 holes on each side to support the lower part of the license plate. By the way, I believe the this part of the trunk is plastic. If the protrusions don't fit your plate, just let the plate rest against the protrusions, they are there to prevent/reduce vibration. See below picture.
  7. There is no license plate bracket on the trunk lid. There are screw holes to attach the license plate directly to the trunk lid. Screws can be obtained from the Ford parts department.
  8. Looks like you can take the man out of the Fusion Hybrid but you can't take the Fusion Hybrid out of the man. Happy to see you're still in the mix. I moved over to a 2016 FFE Titanium in May, so far it's been good to me. Not once to the dealer.
  9. Try http://www.nushield.com/. I've used this film for several MFT screens. I'm using the NuShield DayView now. In the past I used NuShield Triple A. The Triple A is a mat finish which greatly reduces finger prints, not so for the DayView. Either one will cover any small scratches. If I need to replace the DayView film I'll go back to the Triple A, because of the anti glare and fingerprint hiding qualities. Buffing for me is not an option because it will remove any coating on the MFT screen.
  10. My first 21 days of ownership, 2016 FFE. The picture still shows my 2013 FFH. The new 2016 is the same color, so eventually I'll change the picture. My remaining range still showed 100 miles, with the gas left in the tank. I filled up because of a trip tomorrow. 8.14 gal to fill the tank.
  11. I had my dealer turn on the DRLs on on my 2013 FFH, the DRLs didn't turn off when using the turn signals. I now have a 2016 Energi, I turned the DRLs on with controls in the left dash screen. These DRLs do shut off when using the turn signals.
  12. When you press the + the view is almost straight down. The view is about 12 inches away from the pumper. The black dashed line is to help align a trailer hitch when backing up....for other cars equipped with a bumper hitch. Not necessarily a FFH.
  13. Some months ago I posted my backup camera picture as others thought the camera view changed. The view has always been this way, as you can see it's the same as the above picture.
  14. If anyone is interested, NuShield is offering a 10% discount on any product. The code is, CCPD10%
  15. The Triple A degrades the image slightly because it's a matte finish, but hides fingerprints. The DayView is more glossy and doesn't degrade the image much or not at all...but you might get the fingerprint problem. I initially chose the Triple A because of the Anti Bacterial and anti fingerprint properties. Fingerprints became a non issue. I tried the DayView on my iPad and quickly removed it because it was too soft. My experience only, on MFT it probably will be okay because it doesn't get handled.
  16. Try a Nu Sheld screen protector. It will probably cover up the scratch and eliminate the fingerprints on the screen. I have had one on since the car was new (3 plus years) and still enjoy not having the screen messy with fingerprints. I use the Nu Shield Triple A. If it works covering the scratch, it'll be much cheaper than a new screen. Just like putting a shield on an iPad or any other tablet or smart phone. http://www.nushield.com/
  17. Just a follow-up...I got the car back today. The drive home was uneventful. I've had a 2015, 1.5L Eco-Boost Fusion for 12 days, paid for by Ford. It was a good ride, I'm amazed by the acceleration when getting it on. This leads up to how damed quiet our FFH is. After 12 days in a standard ICE Fusion, it's like being home in your living room, with the TV off, just saying.
  18. A few days ago with 34,000 miles, I started hearing an almost imperceptible noise, because our FFHs are so quiet, any noise out of the ordinary stands out. The noise kept getting worse, I thought a wheel bearing. Took the FFH in to the dealer today and they discovered its the transmission. I was told the transmission was ordered and will be in next Wednesday, with car finished Saturday. Ford gave me a Fusion SE, Eco-boost rental.
  19. What I've read is Ford and Apple know about this, and hopefully Apple will work a fix in the next update. Here is a workaround. You'll have to plug the iPhone in an open USB port in the glove box, then Siri will work as originally intended. I've tried this and it solves the Siri problem, it just makes it less convenient. I don't know whether the last IOS 9.2.1 update or the ford MFT 3.8 update broke it.
  20. I'm on my 4th 12V battery. 3 years old last December, 30,000 miles. But this is only after getting the BS message (battery saving message) on MFT. All were replaced under warranty. I've never had the engine light on, or the Pull Over Safely message.
  21. My dealer has had a $19.96 installed special going on for several years. Once per year around rainy season I have the dealer change the blades. Both blades are 26 inch. They work well enough that I haven't noticed the difference. On the windshield where the blades lie in park, there is an etching that shows this blade a little short on the drivers side. I think the etching is there so you wont go over the 27 inch, which is probably max length. The 26 inch blade is only 1/2 inch short on each end, I don't think this little difference matters. 28 inch is maybe a little long and may get close to the paint on the upper edge of the windshield. Get the 26 inch for both sides, it won't matter at all.
  22. Dave, I've enjoyed your informative and timely posts during your tenure on this forum. I would still be driving with the plastic coated gear shift knob if it wasn't for you. Meeting you and your wife several times at our dealership was a great pleasure and won't be forgotten. I hope your health issues are minor and you get well soon. Best regards, gkinla
