The idea with the tinted film is great and even DIY should give you an idea if it helps to reduce the glare. I think better then cardboard for sure.
On a side note I'm also sensitive to light but I guess it's more sunlight since I never had an issue with the FFH interior / cluster lighting. Actually I receive it as very calming much better than some of dash with a lot red.

Welcome to the FFH forum (we also welcome FFE ;) )and congrats on your new ride.
The first deal sounded pretty good to bad that it was sold before you had a chance. Maybe I ask what miles, year, price you bought the car for?

I guess it just goes to show, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like the look of the Fusion but would not even consider the current MKZ because of the funky split grill.
Your absolutely right and that's a good thing otherwise it would be boring.
Still for me personally I would go split before bulky ;)

The proper jack has a U shaped lifting point that avoids bending the weld seam.
Correct and I assume that the idiots @ PepBoys didn't care and lifted my FFH straight up without any adapter.
-
I have been placing my jack under the frame part indicated by the arrows.
I'm pretty sure it's the same spot they us at the shop when lifting the car. Not sure why there is a small strip of metal lower then the rest at this location. Mine were already bend and flatten by previous lifting so I don't think there is an issue.
There is probably an "adapter piece" that should be used for hydraulic jacks.

Yeah. It was a different reading. I'm at a half tank now. Basically if I do the match of a half tank and the mpg for my current mileage is under 40 mpg yet my readout says 43.2 average mpg.
Half tank isn't really half tank so the tank display is a quite unreliable source to calculate what your MPG at 43.9 is not bad.

I think the the voice system tied to the Navigation is weak and very painful to use. Shouldn't take a 2minute Question/Answer interview to get directions to a store near by... or the route 'Home'
A driver should be able to just say "Navigation to Discount Tire" or "Directions to Home" ....and if there are multiple destinations near by it would respond "Discount Tire in Coon Rapids or Blaine?"
I agree just a few weeks ago a tried to get directions to O'Hare airport and another time to Brookfield Zoo just for fun playing with the system.
I was unable to get either destination entered by voice commands and I tried for some time.

The headlights and fog lights seem different. There is a noticeable chrome ring around the Angel eye.

Mine is old about 18 years old and originates from a time a group of friends were hanging out all the time. We decided we needed a name for our clique and some day at a local fair they raffled out some stuffed "animals". One of the "animals" was a "corn cob" so we called ourselves "corncobs".
Each one of us had the same mascot in his/her car as well as "CORNCOBS" in a fancy yellow font across the rear window.
I have been using the name for a lot of user name since then.

amm, if I never reset trip 1 but just strip 2?
The distance display on trip 1/2 rolls over @ 9999.9
I don't know about the time my guess would be 999:59:59.
-
omg. lol :/
so the time in the trip comp is total driving time? :)
Yes correct
For example my trip 1 which I keep per tank is usually around 13 h for 470 miles = 36 miles/h avg.
-
Well there is the typical calculation
Traveled Distance / Traveled Time ;)
I occasionally do that for a tank (trip 1) if the FE is either really good or "really bad"
But seriously unfortunately there is no such output I wish they would show it at the if the trip as part of the trip result. I'm actually surprised that the Mondeo doesn't have that since it's very common among European cars.

I have the regular GY Ultra Grip and very happy with them and they actually have a better price. The have served me very well in the last two Chicago winters.
Not sure if you wanna buy new rims for the summer tires or if you are planning on switching just the rubber twice a year but two complete sets are definitely easier to handle if you have the space to store the unused set.
-
9th place I expected worse for Chicago but what I don't get is 12th for Atlanta which in my opinion is at least equally bad.

Update: The latest 3.8 allows Siri to become active with a long 3 second push of the voice button. The iPhone doesn't have to be plugged in, it uses Bluetooth. I use texting all the time, and use text to voice to listen, it allows me to respond to text immediately. Push the voice button for 3 seconds until you hear the beep. I'll say, Siri send a text message to, whomever, Siri asks what do you want to say, dictate it then pause. Siri will repeat what you just said to confirm, then will ask to send, say yes, then Siri will say, sending. A great time saver while on the road.
Now that's a reason to give it a try and put 3.8 in the car.
Thanks for sharing gkinla :)

Amanda, water is a normal by-product of burning gasoline in an internal combustion engine and seeing water dripping from your tail pipe or muffler is completely normal. Many mufflers (maybe all of them) have small holes in them to allow water to drain. You have a good eye to notice that.
And if they don't have a hole yet or from the factory they will eventually create their own ;)

There is no change in surface. The surging happens on perfectly smooth, dry pavement. It would not be surprising or an issue if it happened on uneven surfaces. It is an issue because it happens on flat, smooth, dry surfaces.
While I agree that it can happen on flat, dry surfaces it's much more likely and noticeable on uneven or wet surface.
Anyway it's the same base problem with one wheel turning faster than the other causing the interruption in regen-braking.

+1BOO FORD!
The data HB recorded shows something odd clearly and many others including myself had that unpleasant sensation of abrupt lack of deceleration.
Getting into position to back into my driveway is definitely not aggressive turning while getting the car close to an ABS event.
If it wouldn't be almost Halloween I would have consider this statement a really bad April fools joke.

Ford made over $6b last year, how much did Tesla make? C'mon Tesla, you can do better!
Even more reason that Ford should be able to do better. :)
No seriously our cars have wifi built in so it shouldn't be necessary to download the updates to a USB stick that needs to be empty and working with MFT.
I could go on but you are right Waldo.

The really sad part is that I just saw on the news that Tesla updated the Model S with self driving features with an over the air update.
Ford can't even figure how to distribute a MFT update for all model years.
C'mon Ford you can do better!

Sounds like an interesting idea but isn't that what GM was / is offering with the ECO line. I thought the Malibu was offered as mild hybrid.

Sorry for the mind bending post I hope it makes sense now.
Looks like md13ffhguy picked up my unindented mind game.

You should be able to just replace the metal key part since the key fob should still work correct? The blank should be easily cut by a lock smith maybe I'm thinking too easy here.
