  1. It sounds similar to an issue I had about a year ago, when my 2013 HyTi was approaching 60k miles. Irritating hum/whine at highway speeds, only heard between about 50mph and 80mph. Seems to intermittently stop when the car switches between electric drive and ICE. I took it to the dealership and they replaced the entire front axle under warranty, because a crack had formed that they thought was causing the whine/hum at higher speeds. When that didn't fix the issue, they replaced the transmission (again under warranty) and the sound was gone. I've read in the forums that early 2013 models like mine have transmission issues at 75k miles. I guess mine just went early.
  2. When the FFH thinks your 12v battery is low, all the alert tones switch from the pleasant melodic tones to the irritating 90s cell phone ringer sounds you're hearing. It's supposed to somehow be a battery saving feature.
  3. I'm hearing a similar thing in my 2013 HyTi. The sound is a loud PING that is heard from the front passenger-side wheel well. I can't hear it in the vehicle unless the window is down, but it's fairly loud. It seems to happen when the car is transitioning between power states (regen, hybrid, EV). I only seem to hear it at low speeds (less than 30MPH) but I assumed that was due to wind noise. I'd attributed it to TSB 13-5-24, which is listed in the TSB section of this forum as a Ting/Pop/Click-type noise in front half-shaft. Haven't had it in for service but I'm making an appointment soon.
  4. UPDATE: I just got a voicemail from the Ford Vehicle Technology Support Center. Based on the case that Kim opened for me, they were able to determine that the issue lies with the mapping software itself. Not only were they were able to reproduce the issue I was seeing, but they're currently working on a fix that will be applied with a future Nav system update. Thanks again for your help, Kim! :yahoo:
  5. I also noticed that if you start the Nav calculating a route, then shift into reverse, route calculation is cancelled. It's like the backup camera cancels EVERYTHING in MFT.
  6. Kim, I'd considered that too. I regularly start navigation from our driveway, and this is the only destination that seems to fail from home. I've never got an error routing to my home, or any route that passes through this neighborhood. It just seems to be any route that starts in my neighborhood, and ends 2 hours away in this church's neighborhood. Here's the even weirder thing. Starting at that church and routing home... never a problem. (I know, right? Totally baffling... )
  7. I can see how that could happen, but I gave it a custom name. I've also tried directly routing to it using a POI search, and through Services.
  8. I've heard her mention "Incomplete Map Data" out in the boonies before, but never along this route. It goes along with what I suspect though, that there's data missing on the map whether Sync realizes it or not. It just seems an oddly specific set of circumstances. My neighborhood is on a public road and the maps *seem* to show the road correctly... Same with the destination.
  9. My first post as a long-time lurker in the FFH forums, so please be gentle. :) I've noticed an odd issue with the MFT navigation, and I'm trying to figure out how to troubleshoot, or if anyone else has seen this issue. I'm driving a 2013 HyTi. I'm in a Meetup group and once a month I drive to the next city over (About a 2 hour drive) for a meeting. The meeting is in an old church which Sync knows as a POI. I know the way, but usually set the nav anyway so I get traffic updates and ETA as I go. The problem is, if I start from home, MFT can't calculate the route. Or more precisely, she calculates it, gives me the nanny speech about obeying traffic laws, shows an ETA and highlights the route, then the screen blinks and the route is gone. If I click over to Nav, I get "Route Calculation Failed". Try again, same result. Weirder, if I start the route from anywhere other than my home neighborhood (like from work 10 minutes away), the calculation completes as normal and I have no further issues. I've tried searching for the place as a POI, entering the address manually, and having Services send the route to my nav. I even tried a nearby address in the same destination neighborhood. All have the same result. The dealership applied some TSB related to the GPS not being able to locate itself (the car shows itself off road, etc), but that had no effect. I even tried starting the route from elsewhere and driving near my house to see what happens. As soon as I get into my neighborhood, MFT gives up routing and cancels. I suspect that it's a map issue, but it's kinda frustrating. Anyone seen something similar?
  10. I ordered a Titanium Hybrid about 3 weeks ago. I was told by the dealership that production on the Titaniums started earlier that week, and that I should expect mine by March. Not sure if that information is any more valid than what others were told though...
