  1. ok I will wait until I go to my parents house and use their charger
  2. hmmm what would you suggest that I do Murphy?
  3. I get BS messages every time I drive it. Ive tried to charge the battery with my battery tender overnight (or longer) but still get BS in the morning commute. I think its a matter of time before it dies...
  4. Im trying to find a 12v battery similar to the ford battery but like an AGM. I don't think I want to buy a replacement battery from ford....Has anyone replaced theirs with a non-ford battery?
  5. Happened to my car during July 4, 2014. The airbag light came on so i took it to the dealer. They ended up replacing the computer module for the airbag, and its all good now. But make sure you take yours in to get fixed if the light is on, or your airbag will not deploy!
  6. Almost the same happened to me july 4th weekend. Driving 70mph on the highway just crusing. Look down and see the seat belt/airbag light. Look down again and see traction control lights. The lights stayed on every time i drove. Took it to the service depart last week. The car needed a new computer module thing? I will have to check the name of it. They said because the seat belt/airbag light was on that the airbag would not inflate in a crash, and it was a safety concern to not drive it. So if you see this light, get it in and get it fixed. Mine is fixed now ;)
  7. nope, i didnt think it was worth my time. If i bring my car there again, i will leave a note on the relay: DO NOT TOUCH!
  8. I sprayed some rubberized undercoating they sell at auto parts stores underneath my car. Also painted the exhaust and calipers with high heat paint. I did notice when changing my oil that the axles were rusting and some of the frame too. So i sprayed those too. Everything cost around 20$
  9. well i solved it very easily. I took a look under the hood saturday. I checked all of the wiring to my hids, and found that the relay module was missing.... Im sure it didnt fall out because it has four prongs and sits in tightly. Then it dawns on me that when i took my car in to ford for a recall last week, someone there could have tampered with it. luckily i had a spare and it was fixed in 3 seconds. Kinda mad that they would uplug and keep my relay ;(
  10. I will. Im going to check the voltage to each bulb and fuses before I go.
  11. yeah it is still under warranty. I would think that even if the sensor was broken, i would still be able to turn them on manually?
  12. Yesterday, getting into my car to go to work, (lightly) bumped my knee on the fog light button and headlight selector wheel thing. Nothing seemed to change when i turned on the car and drove to work. Got out of car and car is chiming that i left the lights on, but it is always been in auto mode. I had to turn the selector wheel to off for it to stop. Then that night driving home, i put the selector wheel back to auto. Notice the low beams do not come on. Get home and put in park, play with the selection wheel and high beams. Notice that the selection wheel makes no changes to the lights (except completly off) and fog lights and high beams both work.
  13. I am a proud alum of Akron graduated in 2012. Go Zips! I am pretty sure these are the fog lights i have, they are 26 watts, i saw that they also make a 32 watt if you wanna go brighter. link and here are the fog lights installed, in my garage during the day link or

  16. i put HIDs in my 2013. I found a 6000k kit on amazon. I went to intall them but they would not fire, so i ordered a relay harness from amazon too. I looked up on google how to connect the relay to the HID kit, and was surprised how simple it was. Plugged everything together and turned on the headlight switch, everything worked great. I havent had one single problem with them since spring 2013. Plus everything i bought was about 50$. For my fog lights i got those on amazon too, make sure you get a high watt cree led so that they are bright enough.
  17. Just purchased a K&N replacement air filter to drop into the stock air box. The stock air filter looks like it was made out of folded up yellow pages lol. It didnt look dirty at all, there were some small flying insects caught in the pleats tho. I thought i would try out this filter because it wasnt too expensive, and maybe try to get better mileage, hp, who knows......I will post some updates on how the filter performs. I dropped the filter in last night and drove to work this morning. Forgot to look at what the trip mpg was.
  18. For me short trips have caused the BS message to appear. I drive about 10 miles to and from work and after a month of these short trips the BS message appeared. I recently took a 60 mile round trip and it seems to have solved the problem. I have not seen the BS message since, but making the 10 mile trips im guessing it will pop up again. Im thinking if you make short trips, you should put a battery charger on the battery at least once a month.
  19. I made a grill cover for my car a couple weeks ago. I didnt use a sheet of plexi glass or lexan. I had some woven fiberglass cloth laying around so i traced and cut out the shape of the grill. Then took some automotive epoxy and spread it into the cloth, which i had laying on a plastic sheet (4 mil dropcloth). Also attached a plastic sheet over the front end of the car. I placed the fiberglass and resin before it cured over the grill to conform to the shape of the grill. Waited for it to dry. Painted it black with a flat black plastidip (rubbery to prevent scratching). Added some window insulation foam to the backside in vertical strips to prevent the cover from rubbing on the chrome. Dilled three sets of holes and strung some twine through and around the grill, until i was able to buy some black zip ties. It works great, and looks like I blacked out my grill.
  20. Nope, I do not keep a usb plugged in, but my commute is only about 11 miles highway to work. So should I even bother taking it to the dealer or just buy a battery charger? I have a battery tender, dont know if that will work?
  21. So this message popped up on my screen today, yay! :love_shower: Was wondering when I make an appointment to get this fixed, will they be replacing the battery or trying to fix/ch arge it? My build date is 12/19/12 for those who are keeping track.
