I can also confirm that Siri Eyes Free works properly with my iPhone after installing iOS 9.3. -
Sync Subscription Renewal
Former Expedition owner replied to hybridbear's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
I use Sync Services to get my morning info on my "favorites" like technology, weather, sports, etc. I have never used the operator assist function where I spoke to a human. This morning, when I pressed the voice button on my steering wheel and said, "Services", I was told my subscription was about to expire and to go to syncmyride.com to renew. At syncmyride.com, I was provided the option to renew Sync Services for $60 a year. I don't believe it is worth the $60 a year. -
Siri Eyes Free issues
Former Expedition owner replied to Former Expedition owner's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
A thought occurred to me yesterday while fumbling to plug in my iPhone via USB cable, if I wanted the hassle of plugging into USB instead of using Bluetooth with Siri, I could just use the "Hey Siri!" command instead of the "Siri Eyes Free" button on the steering wheel. http://www.apple.com/ios/siri/ -
Siri Eyes Free issues
Former Expedition owner replied to Former Expedition owner's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
I noticed this was posted on my owner.ford.com page: My owner.ford.com site still does not show that I updated to 3.8 or even that it is available for by '13 hybrid. Still shoes me "up to date" with 3.6.2. -
I successfully installed the Sync 3.8 update a few weeks ago. I have an iPhone 5S running iOS 9.2 that I have used with my '13 HyTi since I bought the car. Here are some issues I've encountered: * Holding down the voice button on the steering wheel for three seconds will occasionally result in Siri ending instead of starting a session * After successfully connecting to and using Siri via eyes free, my car's audio system connects via Bluetooth to my phone, playing the Sirius app, even though I was not using Bluetooth for audio prior to my Siri eyes free session.. This has resulted in me unknowingly listening to Sirius through my phone instead of the Sirius subscription in my car, and incurring large data usage through my wireless carrier. * After starting my car, pressing the voice button quickly, and then stating, "Services" to access my Sync favorites will result in a message stating that Sync was unable to connect to my iPhone, even though the screen on MFT shows it is connected to my iPhone. Anyone else experiencing issues with v3.8 that did not exist previous to the installation?

Version 3.8 available
Former Expedition owner replied to IraF's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
After reading the article in Friday's USA Today that Ford will be upgrading MFT in all vehicles back to 2011 with Siri Eyes Free, I came here to this forum to find out what everyone's experience was. The Ford Owner's site said I was up to date with v3.6.2 on my 2013 HyTi. After reading IraF's post with the downloadable file, I prepared my memory stick and successfully upgraded Sync to v3.8. I now am able to use Siri Eyes Free. Thank you. -
What is the best LRR tire for hybrid
Former Expedition owner replied to aldwill's topic in Wheels & Tires
Anyone try the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus? $219 each at Tire Rack and they are LRR. -
It's April now and like I said in my previous post, I used the A/C for the first time since October 2014 when we had an 80 degree day last week. That same musty odor came shooting out of my vents as soon as I turned the A/C on. I'm not going to use the A/C again until I bring it into the dealer so they can get a whiff of that foul smell. I'm due for an oil change soon and need some other warranty work done, so it won't be too long until I can report back if the dealer refuses to perform the TSB work again!

There was supposed to be a feature where you could plug in a USB Internet stick and provide a hotspot in your car. I have such a stick for work, but could not ever get it to work. The two sticks I've had in the almost two years I've owned my HyTi both were not "compatible" with MFT. I started a thread a while ago discussing my attempts to get it to work. http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/6622-usb-internet-stick-so-my-ford-touch-creates-wifi-hotspot/

Recall 14S21 - RESTRAINTS CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT
Former Expedition owner replied to IraF's topic in Recalls, SSMs & TSBs
I got a letter from Ford today regarding the "IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL" 14S21. Here's the gist of the letter: The airbag light on my '13 HyTi is not illuminated. -
I received a call from Ford Customer Service Manager who explained that the dealer has to verify that I have musty odors coming from my cooling system. She offered to set up a service appointment to do so. I explained that I have not run the A/C in some time, since it is now October here in Upstate NY and will likely not be running to A/C again until April 2015. The CS Manager said to make an appointment in April when I am running the A/C regularly and leave the HyTi overnight so the Service Manager can smell the musty odor. When I voiced a concern over my warranty going out of mileage by April 2015, the CS Manager said she would extend my warranty free of charge. She then quickly recanted when she remembered I was in NY and said she couldn't do that in NY state. I'm still upset that they had my vehicle overnight twice during my last trip for service and couldn't verify the odor.

Cooling system stinks up car even in winter
Former Expedition owner replied to GreatLakes's topic in Climate Control
My HyTi is at the dealer right now and they are refusing to perform TSB 140099. I posted my story in the TSB thread before I found this thread. I also sent Crystal a PM. Brought my HyTi in to the dealer I purchased my car from for an oil change, PCM update, navigation offset, remote start blows cold air, and the musty odor when A/C is activated. Called on Tuesday Sept 16th for an appointment and was told they were booked until the following week. Made appointment for Thursday, Sept 25, dropped HyTi off at dealer at 5pm on Wednesday, Sept 24 with a specific list of the issues and associated TSB numbers. No call from dealer on Thursday at the end of my work day, so I called them. "I was just about to call you", says Kirk at the service counter. Let me send a car to pick you up, which he did. When I arrived at the dealer, my HyTi was on the lift in the shop. Kirk tells me he wasn't going to be done with my HyTi today, so he will provide a loaner ('14 Fusion SE). I have planned a trip this weekend and want to take my 41mpg HyTi, so I call Kirk at 10AM Friday morning to see when he will be done. Kirk says he will be done with everything except the musty odor A/C issue. When I ask why, he said he couldn't replicate the issue and would not perform the work. I told him that the smell happens on initial startup after sitting for a while. He said I never told him that and refuses to perform the work. I told Kirk that I was getting the feeling he didn't want to do the work because it would take about 7 hours to do. Kirk claims he could not replicate the smell, we proceed to get into a "discussion" on how I can smell it, I'm the customer, and I would like it fixed. Kirk refuses to perform the work and says I will have to leave my car there for a few days so he can replicate the smell. I told home that he has had the HyTi for two days now, he should have found the smell. He said I could pick up my car in an hour, without the "musty odor A/C" work completed. Daytime Running lights?
Former Expedition owner replied to Ric's topic in Glass, Headlights, Fog lamps, Lenses & Window Tint
Love the look of these, but they don't work like the DRLs that I had activated in my '13 HyTi. The LEDs illuminate with the parking lamps, which means I wouldn't be able to leave my lights set to AUTO and have the LEDs on during the day. The LED Bar White DRL is tied into the parklightsLED Bar turns to Amber and blinks with the turn signal, then comes back to white after the signal is turned off -
I started a thread in May 2013 titled USB Internet stick so My Ford Touch creates WiFi Hotspot. I had a few chats on Facebook with Rebecca at Ford and she told me the only USB modem they had found to work was the ATT USBConnect Mercury/Sierra Wireless Compass 885. I tried two different USB sticks and neither worked. After inserting each into the USB port, MFT gave this message, "This USB device is not supported. Please remove." These were a Verizon 3G Novatel USB727 and Verizon LTE 551L. Instead, I purchased a Cradlepoint mobile broadband router where I can plug my USB stick into it and create a hotspot. The Cradlepoint is powered by a cigarette lighter and I just leave it in my HyTi. I don't see the point of trying to attach the MFT wifi connection to the one produced by my Cradlepoint and I have never tried to do so. I think it would just create the possibility for a bottleneck. I'm open to trying to do it if someone can tell me what the benefits would be?

Confirmed with @FordService on Twitter that there is no way to have a "vent" setting with MFT. (unless you roll down the windows...as @FordService states)

Cross Traffic System Fault
Former Expedition owner replied to cjn-md's topic in Advanced Driver Assistance Technologies
Geez...had the Cross Traffic System Fault error appear yesterday on my '13 HyTi with 15k miles. Took a photo of the dash. Came here and did a search, found this thread. After reading cjn-md's problems, I'm a little worried. Drove back & forth to work today, but the System Fault warning has not reappeared. -

I had the DRL's turned on in December 2013 when I had my 2013 Hybrid Titanium in to the dealer for an oil change. Here's what my HyTi looks like with lights off, DRL's on, and headlights on: -
Happened once again to me last week. I had (as I always do) the ambient lighting set to orange while driving the family to a restaurant for dinner. My daughter commented on the orange color because we were going to an early dinner due to the Syracuse basketball game starting at 6PM that day. When we came out to the car after dinner, the ambient lighting had changed to blue. I also noticed that the MFT screen was set at full brightness, even though I have had it set purposely very dim. When my wife (in the passenger seat) went into the ambient lighting settings on MFT the orange globe showed for a brief second before rotating to the blue sphere. This is a bug that has not been fixed.

I remember now that there was a line of about 5 cars waiting at the car wash. The 1st car in line, for whatever reason, decided not to go through the car wash. The attendant had all the cars back up in order to let the first car out of line. Once I returned the transmission to Drive, I never went over 5 MPH, so the rear view camera stayed on the screen.
