I haven't noticed this being any worse than any other new car I have had. I like the product Invisible Glass, it is a great product. -
Ford fuel efficiency update guinea pig testers
tclemmer replied to hybridbear's topic in Fuel Mileage
Well, I will be getting the update next Friday (August 16th). I have been trying to save off my daily commutes so that I can see if there is an impact. I have three different routes I can take. Route 1 is a freeway route (But there is a ton of construction going on so its a crap shoot on that one), Routes 2 and 3 are none freeway routes. It appears that To work is overall downhill and From work is uphill. I have a Google Spreadsheet where I am logging this and to the right of the data is the averages. I will continue next week adding data to the different routes and then add the updated PCM data on-going after the 16th. If anyone is interested in looking at the spreadsheet it is public for anyone using the link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvVlcS71qBqKdEREV040Qm5iTzN2aURuQzNrQXROenc&usp=sharing FYI, I have never made a spreadsheet public so hopefully it works. Somebody needs to schedule a get together in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and then clummus could drive in and we could have a competition with all the different drivers by setting up a predefined route that each member drives with clummus riding shotgun. See if anyone can get a decent MPG run out of the car. I suspect I would not do well as I get around 38 with mine. Tom

When I go to TireRack I can not find any tire with the T135/90 size. When I google I just get European sites for tires with that size. Am I doing something wrong?

I will have to keep an eye on it when we try it out. Thanks for bringing that up though, had not really thought about that side effect.

i decided to take a more lazy approach and purchased this as Wal-mart. We will see if it works well enough for my wife, who also complains about the height of the passenger seat.

Going for second test drive tomorrow

Best of luck on your decision. I have had VW diesels (Jetta) for my last two cars (2003, 2009). Enjoyed them quite a lot. Handed the 2003 down to my son when I got the 2009. I traded the 2009 in on the FFH and I am happy with it so far. One thing is clear, with the VW diesels you can just drive and get really good numbers. The FFH, I feel like I really have to work at it, I can not just drive it like I did the Jetta. The main reason for me trading in the Jetta was the issue some people were having with the High Pressure Fuel Pump. Even though it appears to be a very small percentage, the cost of that failure can be 6K to 10K at a dealer. But VW has been working with a lot of people and covering it, in some cases up to 80K miles. Any way, you will be happy with either one. Tom -
Here is what fuelly has posted in the FAQ on their site. I started using SMS to update my fuelly. Pretty easy to do. http://www.fuelly.com/faq/42/android-numeric-keypad My Android phone doesn't have a decimal for data entry on Fuelly MobileFor some reason Samsung decided a decimal point isn't necessary for the numeric keypad on their phones. There's not much we can do from this end about it. If you're experiencing this problem you can visit this page on your phone: http://m.fuelly.com/disable-numeric-keypad.gas?id=1 That will tell Fuelly Mobile not to use the numeric keypad for entry. You'll have to navigate to the numbers each time, but it's better than a non-functioning numeric keypad.

Well, I don't own a 2013 FFH...yet. Still on the fence and doing my research. But thought you might be interested in knowing that someone has added one to the fuelly website. I use this site for my current car (2009 VW Jetta TDI). Might be fun watching what he gets for MPG. http://www.fuelly.com/driver/strengthcoach4/fusion Tom
