headlight and foglight bulb change

hey fusion owners =]

i just bought 2 sets of crystal vision bulbs from phillips, h11s, for my fogs and headlights

does anyone know the simplest way to change these bulbs? a friend of mine runs a shop and has a lift and is going to do it for me but hes only aware of doing it through the whole assembly by taking off the bumper, im just looking for a simpler install...if possible.

if anyone can explain ,maybe a step by step?

or point me in the right direction to find one, thatd be greatly appreciated.

ive read something about going through the wheel well but i cant find descriptive instructions

2009 & earlier, or 2010 & later? Makes a difference. 2010+, headlight bulb chage is right in the owners manual. You don't have to remove the whole bumper. As for the fogs, just remove as many bolts as necessary to access through the plastic shroud under the front of the car. Easy if on a lift. Don't know about the 2009 & earlier.

shouldve stated...yes the 2010 se**** is the model i currently have...its in the manual? i just see alot here about the bulb and chamber itself, nothing about installation?

Hi _8940. :D As xmech stated, the instructions for changing the bulbs are in the Owners Manual.

 

If you reference "Bulbs" in the Index, it will give a page #. In the PDF version of the 2010 Fusion Owners Manual, the instructions begin on page 62. There are separate instructions for the 2.5/3.0 and 3.5L engines.

 

The bumper cover does not need to be removed for bulb replacement on any Fusion model (2006-2009 or 2010-2011). The bumper cover only needs to be removed if the entire headlight housing is being replaced.
