I just came back from a 3day trip to a complete dead car. What a pain in the butt to get to the battery to jump it since everything is dead. I had the stock battery so it lasted 3 years guess its time to get it replaced

Thanks hopefully I can call and get an appointment for the weekend so I dont have to get a rental

Have another strange one. Got in my car to leave and first thing I noticed was when I start the car I get the chime of a door open it lasts for about 10 seconds then stops. None of the doors are open as if I turn the car off and leave key in no beeping and opening a door causes the beep to start. But turning the car back on again same door open chime. Next the reverse and forward warning beeps have changed to a high pitched beep that only comes from the dash not over the speakers like it used to. I read on another forum that this could be a sign of low battery anyone else have any other ideas. I am already out 500$ in rental car insurance fees from the last time my car was in the shop so hoping it something simple.

Thanks Megan. My service rep is pretty good at keeping me updated. I went and picked the car up today. They replaced the exhaust manifold to fix the coolant leak. And all the warning lights came on because a left front wheel speed sensor went bad they replaced it. Everything was under warranty

Talked to my service rep today they are still waiting on a part. Part might be there next week. Rental car extended might go try to swap for a different rental as been driving around a mustang and it is not the most comfortable car

Just an update Car is back in the dealer. On my way to work this morning every light and warning known to man went off. ABS/airbag/hill assist/parking assist/control assist/ And A few others. So decided to just head to the dealer twice on the way to the dealer the car accelerated on its own.

It runs like the day I bought it. Its under the original warranty. I dropped my car off Tuesday morning at 7am and was able to pick it up Friday at 5PM. On another note the dealer called today to tell me that while they were doing the transmission work a service tech noticed a coolant leak and its against their policy to fix it without the customer asking or something. So to bring it back and say I think there is a leak and they will get it taken care of.

Sorry I just saw this. I picked up the car today. They referenced TSB 14-0214 on the work order and swapped out the transmission assembly

There is no 10w20. there is 5w and 0w. If they used 0w20 instead of 5w20 not much will happen. First digit is how it flows when cold. So 0w oil flows more freely people used this a lot where it gets freezing.

I rotated tires today and still no change in the noise. So time to go into service it looks like

So just recently my car a 2013 has started making a loud whining noise. It does not change pitch by stepping on the gas. It changes pitch depending on how fast the car is moving. So I could not be stepping on the gas and the high pitched whine is there. I dont recall it ever being this loud before and remember almost it being silent. Its enough I hear it over the radio at times. I also noticed this morning while reversing and turn if I step on the brake I hear an audible thumping noise. Anyone have any idea's I am swamped with work so cant rush it over to dealer but hoping someone has some suggestions as I hate dropping the car off and telling them it sounds funny as they usually give you that blank stare and nothing ever gets fixed. Video of said whine.

For people that have this issue is yours all the time? mine seems to come and go I would hate to have to keep driving to the dealer and they say nope nothing wrong just for the next day im driving to have the smell.

Yes I did the update. I hope we dont have to many days like that this year. I went from a 44 avg MPG on a tank down to a 31.4 avg with just the two days we hit triple digits.

Ac was running the whole time. Only thing I tried was turning ac down. Outside temp was registering 108.

Is there a limit to how hot it can be that makes the car not run on battery. We have been hitting triple digits and I noticed for a full 45Min drive it never switched over to battery once even though it was fully charged. Then when it finally did the slightest acceleration would kick it back to gad.
