When i log on it says i have to take it to a dealer to have it installed but i have read around and people state that they got the download so I was wondering if anyone could send me the download like via dropbox or somethings. Why would you want or need the older one ?? I just purchased a 2013 and it has never had an update so i need the newest one so i dont have to got pay for them to install it. I dont wanna pay $115 just for them to plug a usb into my computer!! I *might* still have the download at home. I'll check tonight. From what I saw in a different thread it didn't sound like it -- both my 2013s have v3.6.2 and the separate SyncMyRide/FordOwner accounts tell me that I have the latest and no update is available. So I have to wonder if there is something in v3.7 not compatible with the 2013 models or they would have made it applicable to the 2013s as well. Especially if you don't have a copy of 3.6.2 to reload if it fails.If it should fail with a "brick" result, you might be totally screwed. hybridbear Report post Posted April 6, 2015 (edited) The Ford dealer should not charge to do the update. If your car is running 3.5 just take it to the dealer & let them install 3.6.2. There is a TSB posted on this form that you can reference if you are concerned about the dealer charging you for this service. I would worry about taking a file from someone else because different cars have different features which could mean different files from the Ford Owner website. Has anyone determined if the download from the Ford Owner website is exactly the same for a car with navigation & one without? Or what about a Titanium with ambient lighting versus an SE without it? murphy Report post Posted April 6, 2015 That is the exact same file name that I used to update my 2013 Energi Titanium with MFT over a year ago. The .zip file contains multiple .zip and .cab files.
