mwr Report post Posted December 5, 2014 The tire fits over the jack accessory kit. It's that easy.....I'm looking at the photo of the kit in the ebay ad, and also at the photo of the tire in the trunk of my car, and (to me) it looks like kit would cause the tire to be too high. What am I missing here?

What am I missing here? The kit and the tire are the same as a the ones in a non-hybrid fusion. The kit is designed specifically to fit inside the tire. It works perfectly on mine. Texasota Report post Posted December 5, 2014 (edited) Ever worry about the oil leaking? I got rear ended once in my Avalon and the plastic bottles of milk, juice and Tide in the grocery bags in the trunk all leaked. What a mess..... Yes, leaking was on my mind. I double bagged the quart of oil using two Ziplock bags. I figure if an accident causes that oil to leak, then I am probably leaking also and the oil will be the least of my worries. The kit and the tire are the same as a the ones in a non-hybrid fusion. The kit is designed specifically to fit inside the tire. It works perfectly on mine. Waldo is right, they work perfectly together. The foam packing block secures everything nice and tight preventing rattles and it also provides the underlying support (platform) for your fiber board trunk floor. The $60.00 price seems very fair to me considering what it will cost you to purchase it new from Ford parts. hermans Report post Posted December 5, 2014 (edited) No, but they are the same. Mine came from a wrecked 2013 gas Fusion. Edited December 5, 2014 by hermans
Texasota Report post Posted December 6, 2014 (edited) Mine also came from a wrecked 2013 gas Fusion. I also confirmed that the spare tire kit was the same as the one in my 2012 Ford Focus that I traded in on the new FFH.
