Howie411 Report post Posted April 23, 2014 Some how my car got stuck in a loop making the click noise when you tap on the MyFord Touch, literally for my 15 minute drive it just kept clicking. It all started after I was scrolling through the "view" options on the NAV to see where my upcoming turns were. Here is what makes it more odd, turning off the NAV didn't fix it, turning off the radio didn't fix it, I also pulled over and turned off the car, that also didn't fix it. (ie as soon as I turned the car back on it went back to clicking). It finally went away at some point when I left my car and came back and hour later. Our car did this once too back a few weeks ago shortly after the day where I had MFT reboot itself a couple times while driving. Numerous on/off cycles didn't fix it, turning off the touch screen beep didn't fix it, turning the screen off didn't fix it. What finally did fix it was doing a hard reset. We've had no MFT issues since. Edited April 23, 2014 by hybridbear
Howie411 Report post Posted April 23, 2014 (edited) Yep, it sounds more like a click then a beep. Edited April 23, 2014 by Howie411
corncobs Report post Posted April 23, 2014 Might be a strange question but do you have a CD in the CD slot?

hermans Report post Posted April 24, 2014 I'd check for a CD anyway. One member found a mexican music CD in their player when they took delivery. Another found Tic-Tac-Toe games on the frame of theirs. You never know what you will find.
Howie411 Report post Posted April 26, 2014 CD drive seems fine, though I did realize now my screen doesn't make any clicking noise anymore. I checked and the option is still selected, even turned it off and turned it back on. I'll have t he dealer look at it next month when I take my car in for an oil change. Easy Rider Report post Posted April 26, 2014 (edited) Wouldn't hurt to mention it but if they can't see or hear or otherwise actually OBSERVE the "problem" in action........the odds of them actually doing anything are slightly less than ZERO.This is pretty much how ALL car dealerships seem to operate these days. Howie411 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 Took my car in for service the other day, when I got it back they said the system was making the selection noises again. Not sure what they did but it definitely wasnt working when I brought it in?. Maybe they pulled a fuse.
