So if you select from your right instrument cluster display "Navigation" and then slect "POI Nearby" and then select "Fuel Station" it will give you a list of nearby fuel stations on the first try and you don't have to toggle back and forth to get something to show up if anything at all. I have not been able to find a FFH yet, owned or on a dealer lot, that works this way on the first attempt, usually have to toggle back and forth on the steering wheel buttons to get anything to show at all.

 

I haven't tried the POI, but I have had no problems with previous and favorite destinations. I'll give it a try later.

Yep, that's what mine won't do, or any other thing....

Just spins and then returns to the home screen.

 

Waldo, when I posted a similar Nav scenario In another thread acdii categorically stated that no Ford has the Dash Nav screen enabled, now we find that yours works.

Glad to hear at least one works.

Weird. My POI nearby works just fine. Just used it over my lunch break to take me to the closest Jack in the Box. I didn't know that there was a problem with that.

Umm Wut? I have a Job 2 '14 HyTi and I have Climate controle as an option on my right dash screen. Unlike some of the others here I use it alot.

Well, I re-visited my Dash Nav and realized that I did not populate the Destination Addresses again after the 3.6.2 upgrade zero'ed everything out, I have no address data in the MFT Nav.

So, I put some in and guess what, the Destination function works now - but the POI's are still not working.

 

Oh, 'Climate Control' - just to stay on topic. ;)

I tried 4 or 5 "POI nearby" destinations yesterday and it worked perfectly on the first try every time.

 

Keep in mind that the software that runs the cluster is totally separate from the software that runs MFT. When you do the 3.6.2 update, you do not update the software in the cluster. It might be worthwhile to check with a dealer to see if they can update your cluster software.

Can either of you please tell me if this is an option to update just the cluster software as stated above, this may solve my problem of not being able to use the "Navigation POI Nearby" function from my cluster, please advise.

I confirmed again today that the "Navigation - POI Nearby" function on the right dash screen doesn't work for me.

POI Doesn't work on my HyTi, The Flex, nor the MKT. Would be interesting if there is a cluster update floating about. The Climate one is sort of pointless, unless you are manually controlling fan and temp, thats all it does. I find it faster to just touch he dash than to scroll through the right screen, and no need to take my eyes off the road for the dash.

I apologize for taking so long to respond; I had to do some digging to find more information on this one. I've been able to confirm that the option to control climate in the right instrument cluster can't be added or removed at the dealership. Waldo brought up a good point, updating the MyFord Touch software to V3.6.2 will not change which options appear in the upper right cluster.

 

 

This is where a Ford Rep would come in handy...

I suggest checking with your dealership. They will be able to provide details about what is available for your specific vehicle. I am unable to provide this information.

You're getting the two problems mixed up. The presence of climate control or not is a configuration setting, that is something that cannot be changed by the dealer. The malfunction of the POI is likely to be a software level issues. This is something that can (probably) be updated by the dealer.

Sorry about the confusion, that does sound a little contradictory! I'll clarify what I meant.

 

In some vehicles, the climate option was intentionally removed from the right cluster. If this is the case, climate can't be added to that screen. I was unable to verify the specific build date that the change was made; this is why I'm recommending to check with your dealership for details about how some owners have this option and some do not. Your dealer has access to more resources and will be able to confirm if your vehicle should (or should not) have the CLIMATE option if you're uncertain.

Also sometimes you can flash in the "as-built" data from another car that does have it, but that's risky because it might not have something that you do. Also I'm not sure how that would work with the odometer.

So how did you get climate on your car? Did it come that way from the factory? How about the A/C update fix?

Mine came from the factory with the climate activated. The A/C fix is just a software update to the FCIM module, any dealer should be able to do that.
