vett93 Report post Posted April 8, 2014 How do I play album after album's music on the USB audio? When I choose play by album "four seasons", it will play the entire album. But then it stops. I don't want to select another one while I am driving. Ideally, I want to play the "next" album of the same genre. How do you guys handle it? Thanks. rjent Report post Posted April 9, 2014 There are options that you get to through the menus that let you "repeat" albums, songs, artist, etc. I can't bring them from the top of my hear, and I am sure someone will have them, but that is how you do it .... :) Hope it helps! corncobs Report post Posted April 9, 2014 I'm guessing you wanna play multiple "CDs" without stopping? Like I wanted to be able to do with Pink Floyd - The Wall. So what I did was renaming the song # for the second CD to 201, 202 etc. and it's all in one folder. So it plays the entire The Wall album in the correct order thru 2 CDs. vett93 Report post Posted April 10, 2014 What I want is to play Album 1, Album 2, Alum 3, so on and so forth. In other words, I want the system to play the entire album and then play the next album, and the next.... The difficulty I run into is as follows. As an example, I browse and select the first track of Four Seasons. If I select Repeat 1, it will play the first track and repeat the first track. If I select Repeat all, it will play all tracks and then go back to track 1 and continue to the rest of album. If I select Repeat Off, it will play the entire album and stop. I don't want any of the above. In stead, I want to the system to play all the tracks of an album and then find the next album to play. Hope my explanation is clear. corncobs Report post Posted April 10, 2014 (edited) I think I was on the right track just on a different scale now it's crystal clear ;). As I said in my previous post it's simple for albums by one artist. Each track gets a unique track # like Album1 - 1xy / Album2 - 2xy and it's playing correct. Now the same concept would work for all albums with different artist because I don't believe what you want is possible by default. Maybe Kim our IVT specialist or someone else has a different / better idea. I have not tried to say "play all albums" but "play all" will give you all songs in alphabetical order. If you say "play artist xy" it will play all albums but the songs in alphanumerical order so it will mix between all albums and play track #1 of all albums and then #2 etc. Edited April 10, 2014 by corncobs 1 hybridbear reacted to this
vett93 Report post Posted April 10, 2014 Thanks, Corncobs. The albums I like are recorded at different levels. For example, classical music is typically recorded at a lower volume than others. So if I do "play all", I will have to adjust the volume constantly. Not a good thing when I am driving.... On my previous car, a Mitsu Evo MR, I can select an album to play. Then the system will play that album and other albums from there on. That is much more user friendly..... 1 corncobs reacted to this
vett93 Report post Posted April 13, 2014 BTW, I don't think "play all albums" is a valid command....

FordIVTteam Report post Posted April 22, 2014 (edited) Hello everyone, Here are a list of valid USB commands: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/entertainment-by-voice-sync PLAY ALL is a valid command, however, PLAY ALL ALBUMS is not accepted by SYNC. The system is designed to play tracks in alphanumerical order. You can manually adjust the track information from your computer if you would prefer to listen to the songs in a different order and give the command PLAY ALL. You can also create a playlist with all songs in the order you like, then say PLAY PLAYLIST and give the name of that playlist. corncobs Report post Posted April 24, 2014 Just an additional observation on the topic. If you have multiple albums by on artist it will play one entire album first and then go to next after saying "Play artist xyz" Hopefully I didn't make this possible by modifying the track# for this artist.
