Snow tire compatibility with 2009 Toyota Sienna

Recommended Posts

Go to tire rack, they have tools that will tell you the offset of each car, then you can compare the rims. The site will also tell you if the tire size will work.

Thats a larger diameter tire.

That is nearly a 3" difference in diameter, so unless there are optional wheels and tires in the 27" diameter range for that car, then no, they wont work. The biggest difference is speed, at 65 MPH speedometer reading, actual speed will be more like 72 MPH.

A good way to look at "if a tire will fit" a 225/45/16 will fit, and a 195/55/16 will fit, both with little variance in speed, within 2 MPH of the speedometer readout. For a tire to fit OEM, the first number thats higher makes the second number lower, and the second number higher, makes the first number lower. First is width, second height. Height is a percentage of width. (or is it the other way around). Either way, to make it fit, you cant have both numbers higher than OEM unless you modify something on the car, or the car has an option to fit that size.
