jsolan Report post Posted November 26, 2013 I wanted to start a discussion on features that use on your vehicle that you either didn't think you'd ever use or surprised you to how well they work. I personally never thought I'd use auto-park assist, especially since it has a backup camera, but I use it at least once a week and I don't even live in a city.It might be another "have to have" feature on my next car like steering wheel controls and heated seats were from my previous car. It just works so well and it makes parking so much easier to "know" that your car will fit in that spot before you even start. Also, I love the auto headlights and rain sensing wipers. It's so nice to just be able to get in, drive, and pay attention to the road instead of worrying about headlights or wipers. They're not perfect, but I'm glad I have them. dalesky Report post Posted November 26, 2013 I like using the lane minder system when on cruise control. It does a good job of alerting me, and honestly I don't know how it works sometimes. Seems like magic. On curves it can be quite noticeable.Auto headlights, auto high beams and wipers- what a package!
corncobs Report post Posted November 26, 2013 The steering wheel controls I use all the time (not at the moment unfortunately). The work very well and I use the cruise control very frequently even driving thru the city. This brings me to feature #2 which is the ECC I used it all the time and anywhere. 1 hybridbear reacted to this
Sleddog Report post Posted November 26, 2013 I'm really enjoying the particle beam weapon that vaporized tourists and snowbirds here in Florida. Actually, I'm really enjoying Sync and ACC. 4 Fos01, dalesky, hybridbear and 1 other reacted to this
Fos01 Report post Posted November 27, 2013 I too enjoy the optional particle beam vaporizer... And the voice control system. I have a Corvette, Tahoe, and one of the most advanced automobiles in the road... A FFH... It rocks! 3 B25Nut, corncobs and hybridbear reacted to this
hybridbear Report post Posted November 27, 2013 I am really looking forward to our new white FFH which will have some of these features. Lane Keep Assist, rain-sensing wipers and Adaptive Cruise Control were all features that I wanted but that we decided not to get on our first car to save money. Test driving it last night and watching the LKA and ACC work was really cool!! 1 Sleddog reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted November 27, 2013 So you decided on it? Hope it is better built than your first one, now when I go up there and if we finally hook up it will be Ying and Yang instead of Ying and Ying, or is it Yang and Yang, I forget which is black and which is white. Other than PA, I love all the gadgets and would not want to have a car without them, I even wish my Flex had the auto highbeams, but it appears that wouldnt matter much, my lights appear to others as high beams all the time. ;) 1 hybridbear reacted to this
Sleddog Report post Posted November 28, 2013 I special ordered ours. My wife kept asking me if I got all the options I wanted. I kept telling her I needed to add the FDE 17s option. She looked and looked, and finally told me she could not find that one on the Fusion build sight. After I directed her the FNH USA website, she had no problem searching for it. And there it was, the SCAR 17s, 7.62 x 51 (.308), in FDE. All's well that ends well. Of course we got the FFH, just as ordered. My SCAR 17s arrived today at my FFL (we ordered both the same day). My black Friday will be spent shooting one of the best SOCOM (civilian version) rifles ever made. It may not be a particle beam weapons, or a phased plasma rifle in 40 watt range, but it's the next best thing. I'm glad I order my FFH with what I wanted. Bear, I too thought about ordering it with a few less options. I was really on the fence about the driver assist items. But I'm glad I got them, same for the NAV. There is one thing I would never order, and that's paint that cost an extra 495.00. To me I could not justify the cost. That 495 buys a boat load of reloading supplies for my 3 gun shoots. I hope you enjoy your new one. Congrats!!!!
Daniel Ward Report post Posted March 29, 2014 Use voce control to say "Show weather radar". and then I have a weather radar map. That is awesome. 1 hybridbear reacted to this

Just a word of warning you will only have the weather radar map as long as you subscribe to Sirius XM and pay for that option. Of course, it is free for 6 month as part of your "new car experience." Of course, it is free for 6 month as part of your "new car experience." During my trip to Tennessee at the end of Oct '13, I used sync to bring up traffic, gas, and weather information. When I headed back home to Texas, I tried to get weather information, and a notice popped up on the screen telling me my subscription to that service had expired! How rude! :) I have not renewed the services since I have weather and gas info on my Galaxy S3. 1 acdii reacted to this
