I wonder how many gallons per mile they got. That is just plain stupid crazy. Reminds me of my youth with the Mazda RX4 rotary wagon we used to race up the edens before they straightened it out. That bugger could keep up with just about any bike from a standstill. It would do a wheelie if you popped the clutch too fast.

A M/C pro rider friend of mine tells me a standard M/C street tire would soon shred at those speeds (150 mph+) and a new M/C racing tire can only last about 25 miles before it needs replacing ($400).

The M/C riders were in Levi's with only a helmet. At least the Audi was loaded with airbags - and meatheads.

Knowing a bunch of people with expensive audis. The audi s7 gets around 26mpg on the hwy doing 70-75. Which for what it is IMO is really good.

 

Havent heard numbers for the s8 but i believe its near the same, maybe one or 2 lower.

 

R8, unusable unless you have the 14 with the dual clutch. The "slam clutch" single disc in the 13-prior will throw you around like leaves in wind. Check out the lamborghini aventador in traffic on the highway videos on youtube. old R8 has basicly the same transmission.
