Toz Report post Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) does the Fusion have a Cup holder cover? I never noticed before. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://image.motortrend.com/f/roadtests/sedans/1201_2013_ford_fusion_first_look/36109666/2013-Ford-Fusion-cockpit.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/sedans/1201_2013_ford_fusion_first_look/photo_12.html&h=938&w=1500&sz=752&tbnid=BW5EIZEoFUfEIM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=144&zoom=1&usg=___9Q1LYaj_AM7sU2FE9SGwLBwRGY=&docid=zJ7Lps5DZb6txM&sa=X&ei=LKp5UuPLEIX6iwK_yoCoDA&ved=0CJwBEPUBMAs Edited November 6, 2013 by Toz

JimArch Report post Posted November 6, 2013 I guess for this photo shoot, somebody created one (in real or in photoshop). It looks good like that. 1 hybridbear reacted to this
timf Report post Posted November 6, 2013 I've only seen photos of prototypes with the cover. They obviously removed it for the production Fusion. It may end up going on the production Mondeo though, since that car is designed to be a bit more upscale to account for Lincolns not being sold in Europe. 1 hybridbear reacted to this
SteveB_TX Report post Posted November 6, 2013 The MKZ has a two-piece cup holder cover. You press a little chrome button on top and it retracts down into the console exposing (gasp!) two little cup holders. It is TOTALLY USELESS! Having the cover forced Lincoln to reduce the size of the cup holders to barely hold a regular sized soda can! The only time I close it is to wipe it down when I detail the interior. Otherwise, it is open for easy access to the semi-useless cup holders.
Toz Report post Posted November 6, 2013 I guess that these must be Pre-production pictures then. Bummer. I like the look, but like SteveB_TX says, probably not very practical.

acdii Report post Posted November 7, 2013 That was a pre-production photo, I noticed no grade assist on the shift knob.
wmpwi Report post Posted November 9, 2013 (edited) Yeah that looks nice. It must have been a TI model or something special because you can see the start button http://image.motortrend.com/f/roadtests/sedans/1201_2013_ford_fusion_first_look/35109014+w968/2013-Ford-Fusion-interior.jpg Edited November 9, 2013 by wmpwi
Eddie Sessum Report post Posted November 9, 2013 I like this little cover on the mkz. Also the fact the MKZ has a juice holder too. Mine does stay open tho as my phone rides around in there.
