static when talking on phone through MFT?

Recommended Posts

I don't hear static when listening to radio, but, when talking on phone, there is quite a bit of static at times, seemingly unrelated to cell signal. Anyone else notice this?

I haven't noticed static, but most people tell me that they have trouble understanding what I'm saying if I am talking over bluetooth.

I've noticed this at times. It seems to have only started for me after I updated my iPhone 4s to ios 7. Others have said they've done the same and have had no problems, so who knows.

I have this problem too, on my brand new 2014 FFH titanium using an iPhone 5s. Sounds like I am using an OLD cordless phone (analog) and walking out of the range of the phone. Showing my age a bit...

Does this happen on every call? Have you tried resetting Sync and repairing your iPhone?

Not on every call, but I'd guess more than 50% of my calls. I haven't tried resetting sync (scared to do that -- will I lose presets, etc.?) and the phone shouldn't be the issue -- I can replicate the issue on multiple phones. (I got a new iPhone to replace a cracked one).

Hey Daniel,

I saw your post on this thread and responded there: http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/7038-ford-fusion-hybrid-2013-and-bluetooth-cellular-call-quality/page-2?do=findComment&comment=77285
