cold_fusion Report post Posted October 8, 2013 Does anyone know how involved it would be (or even possible) to install the lincoln mkz's moonroof? I know the ford fusion and mkz are basically the same car but the mkz has that great huge moonroof and would look great on the fusion.
hybridbear Report post Posted October 8, 2013 You'd have to cut away the roof. Also, the roof slope is likely different. So, in a word: impossible
acdii Report post Posted October 8, 2013 For what it would cost, you would be better off just getting the MKZ. 1 corncobs reacted to this
SteveB_TX Report post Posted October 8, 2013 Technically, the "moonroof" is identical for both the Fusion and the MKZ. Now, if you are talking about the MKZ's Panoramic roof, then no, you can't add it to the Fusion. Not possible. Nope. Wouldn't be prudent! :) 2 corncobs and hybridbear reacted to this

Eddie Sessum Report post Posted December 22, 2013 Look at what the parts alone would cost.. Even if it was the same shape roof. My car just had a headliner replaced and that was $2400 in parts.. If you figured both glass and all the stuff to run it you would be looking at 10g+ in parts

A couple years ago i had the Nissan dealer quote me $900 for a new headliner in my Nissan and I had an auto upholster do it for $175 and it looks identical to original. Eddie Sessum Report post Posted December 22, 2013 All the trim is made one time use and all has to be replaced.. When they pulled mine apart everything broke and that's what Ford told them.. Also look how the headliner is made.. It's hard plastic
