TX NRG Report post Posted July 30, 2013 Maybe to pin to a bulletin board, but not for anywhere on my car. That's sacrilege! 1 hybridbear reacted to this
djminfll Report post Posted July 30, 2013 How about a small window sticker with single letter across the rear window?Something like this not sure if its visible enoughI don't know how you did that, but I prefer that to a bumper sticker! I usually only apply bumper stickers during presidential elections, and I recently adopted another retired racing greyhound, and I got a bumper sticker from them, but haven't affixed it to my bumper yet. But the single line of lettering for the window would be a definite YES for me. 1 Sleddog reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) How about a small window sticker with single letter across the rear window? Something like this not sure if its visible enough I was thinking of this as well. I actually like it better since I am also not one for plastering stickers on the back of the car, but do put them on the glass. My AMA stickers are on the Flex. kuzzi Report post Posted July 30, 2013 Only two stickers I put on my cages: 1: Texas A&M Association of Former Students Century Club sticker 2: Spring Fire Dept. shield The FD one is for getting out of traffic tickets, but I don't speed in the FFH, so only the Association sticker on the FFH. The bike gets stickers from the performance shops who sponsor my upgrades. Hammer Performance, CP Pistons, DK Customs. Not many cops willing to pull over a speeding Harley in Houston anyways since staying ahead of traffic is recognized as the safest thing to do here. dalesky Report post Posted July 31, 2013 (edited) Maybe something for the back window, like those ones you see with a family, sometimes including dogs and cats. Nothing on the bumper.I had to work a long time and carefully to remove the dealers logo from the back of my new Fusion. They aren't paying me to advertise.I won't even put a vanity plate on the front, since I like the way it looks without one. Vista Print is a good company. I like the 1st idea of drive smarter, not faster, then the forum address, minus the HTTP:// since that is not needed to find the site. Matter of fact, I have copied the sample into a Word doc, and will try taping it on the window for a trial. Edited July 31, 2013 by dalesky
Sleddog Report post Posted July 31, 2013 (edited) I don't put bumper stickers on my vehicles. Now a license plate frame sure. I have one on my Fusion that I got from the place others have mentioned here on the forum. I won't do a window sticker either. Besides, I don't let the dealers put stickers advertising themselves on my car, I'm not going to advertise for a website that gets paid by having ads on it, unless, they are paying me for advertising for them. We advertise for the site, more people come to the site, the owners make more money. We, on the other hand, get to pay for the privilege of advertising for them by placing a sticker on our cars. jeff_h Report post Posted August 1, 2013 Nice idea, but would probably strike others like those on the South Park 'Prius Smug' episiode. You can probably get the point across (but not rub people the wrong way) by just putting the web site name on there. 1 corncobs reacted to this
corncobs Report post Posted August 1, 2013 How about just the web address? Or " Maximize your MPG - FordFusionHybridForum.com " 1 keithsm2 reacted to this
djminfll Report post Posted August 1, 2013 I'd go with either, but just the web address would be non-antagonistic to anyone, and would be smaller and less conspicuous on the car.
HoustonFirefox Report post Posted August 22, 2013 Nothing on the bumper. I had to work a long time and carefully to remove the dealers logo from the back of my new Fusion. They aren't paying me to advertise. I have to fight with dealers all of the time about this when I buy a new car. I tell them straight up that I won't take delivery of a car with their sticker on it - I'm not a free rolling advertisement for your dealership! If you look closely at your invoice, sometimes they will even try to CHARGE you for the "pleasure" of advertising the dealership. One of those "rolled-in" costs. If it comes with vanity license plate frames from the dealership, I'll bring them back once my new plates arrive. I can't stand stickers on new paint - causes the paint to fade unevenly leaving an outline of the sticker and lowering the resale value IMHO. 1 Aquineas reacted to this

I won't take delivery of a car if it's got the dealer's advertising on it. They don't walk around with my name on their cars, or t-shirts with my name on it, so why should I do the same? When I picked it up, all it had was the aluminum license plate frame with the dealer name on it, and I made him take it off before I left the dealership. acdii Report post Posted August 22, 2013 I guess I am in the small group who doesn't mind it. Since I consider the owner and sales guys my friends I have no problem with the sticker on the back. Shoot for what they did to help be get rid of that "other" car, its worth having it there. Now for a site sticker on the back glass, still thinking about it. Some might consider it advertisement for the site, well it is, but to bring other Fusion owners over here is the whole idea. Got 47?
