I think it's fantastic that everybody is getting great MPG.

I am trying to get good MPG as well. Doing everything I can to catch up with everybody's MPG results. My wife asks me why we're only doing 30 in a 50MPH zone and I explain to her that I'm trying to keep the engine from kicking on........

She had a great idea and now turns on the Hazard lights to help us achieve our goal. ;)

Not sure what happened to your FFH computer but it looks like you have changed the display units which divide everything by 2 ;-))) Edited by corncobs

LOL no, thats the reading from my Flex. Its what I drove today, so they were fresh on my mind.

I am actually very happy with those numbers too since my previous Flex EB only got 18 MPG.

After all the thread doesn't say in your FUSION HYBRID! LOL

That's probably his Flex numbers.

My numbers:

45.6 Avg.

45.7 Lifetime (reset at 50 miles and current mileage is 9500.

By the way, I don't drive 30 mph in a 50 mph zone. I drive at the posted speed limit most of the time, usually using ACC.

I knew that since he posted his FFH #s a few posts before. But I like to make stupid jokes once and a while. In this case it almost fits perfect with /2

How do you see the lifetime? I know it shows up when you stop the car, but I'm not sure if there is another way.

Current lifetime including factory milage is 44.7mpg (10,000 miles). Last 2,000 miles have averaged 50.2mpg. Between the breakin period, winter driving in Maine and learning how to hypermile a hybrid, the first 6,000 miles were pretty disappointing fuel economy wise. Lately, every couple of days my lifetime average jumps up another 0.1mpg.

If you've just hit the 6K mark then you'll probably start to see a steady improvement in fuel economy. Supposedly there is a 6K breakin period and I did observe a marked improvement in fuel economy once I got past the 6K mi.

I look so forward to this. My daily commute is 3 mi... and daily driving is less than 10 mi round trip. Today we went for a 20 mile drive just to try to get the MPG up.... and.... I have to say that I get MUCH better MPG driving 20 mi than my normal trips... got 44MPG on the way back.... 34MPG on the way there...

Don't know, but I think at 3mi a bicycle might be a better bet for saving money on gas (and doctor bills). ;)
