murphy Report post Posted March 11, 2014 I have this same problem with my brand new 2914 FFH titanium using an iPhone 5s. Lots of static... Only on calls. Also notice that the radio reception isn't great...How did you get a car from 900 years into the future? ;) 2 hybridbear and corncobs reacted to this
tr7driver Report post Posted March 11, 2014 I have this same problem with my brand new 2914 FFH titanium using an iPhone 5s. Lots of static... Only on calls. Also notice that the radio reception isn't great...Its interference from the flux capacitor. Go back to 2001 and you won't have that problem 1 hybridbear reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted March 12, 2014 OK, why did you post this thread? Dang it, now I have static on my MKT calls! booo. Actually I think it was carrier related and had nothing to do with the car. Other calls made were just fine, though I did turn the volume down which helped.

Hi Daniel Ward and acdii, Are you noticing the static while you're in the vehicle, or is the caller on the other end hearing this? Kim
acdii Report post Posted March 13, 2014 In my case it was only on my end, and eventually it cleared up.

Daniel Ward Report post Posted March 20, 2014 Checking in from the future (2914, to be exact) -- the static is just on my end -- the person I am talking to can't hear it. I told my dealer about it and they will check in during the first "checkup." It comes and goes, almost like interference on an old cordless phone. acdii Report post Posted March 20, 2014 Two things, first try turning down the volume of the phone during the call, I have found if the volume setting on the phone is too loud it produces static. If that doesnt help, delete the pairings on the MFT and Phone and add it back. Remember to remove the pairing on the phone itself, I have forgotten to do this when I switched cars and caused all kinds of grief.
tr7driver Report post Posted March 20, 2014 There are places in town where I get static on my radio all the time. I also have blue tooth issues there as well. I think it may be radio or electrical type interference unrelated to my car. Interesting enough, my cell phone works fine in those places, so I'd guess it is frequency related. Here are some other troubleshooting tips for connection issues: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/troubleshooting-sync-myford-touch I noticed that you posted on a different thread stating that this is happening on multiple phones. If these tips don't resolve your concern, your dealership will be in the best position to assist. Kim Edited March 20, 2014 by FordIVTteam
