Any time there is a trade-in involved, you have to take that into account. if you think the trade-in price is good and you are getting the car you want, then I would be happy with the deal. There is also extra cost in getting the ruby red.

In my opinion if you want to know if you got a good price is to compare it with the x-plan price. I would build one for you and get you the price, but your description of the car is a little limited. You say you got every available option, but did you get the all-weather mats and the premium mats? What about the trunk net? These available options that most people don't get bc they're not worth the $.

I think they put the extra charge for premium mats but I regret letting them do that. No cargo net. it has all driver directly

safety features and luxury features except moonroof.:)

I don't know if you are paying too much; only you can determine that.

 

I can say definitively that our preference for a Titanium if we choose a FFH is going to have to be revised down to "SE territory" if we end up pulling the trigger. $30-35K is our price range, and if we can't get out the door for less than $36 or maybe more, then it's on to Plan 'B.'

I will only add that this is getting to be pricey for a "twenty thousand dollar car with options," which is all the herd of cars in this size range are (Accord, Camry, Fusion, Outback, Passat, Prius, just to name the ones we've test-driven).

A loaded Fusion is far and above all the others mentioned. More along the lines of an Avalon.

 

For the OP, Go to True car.com and put in your zip. The car you are talking about, i just did on there, Ruby red, NAV, Park assist, Driver tech, and Adaptive cruise with Premium mats, comes out to 37,290 as you listed. The price they show on TC is 34,541.

 

What you can do is use that site to lock in a price from dealers that participate with the site.

 

So, is it a good price? Fair, but can be better. For the one I am getting, I know what my trade is worth, I know what I owe, and I know what I will be paying, and the price for the one I am getting is around 34,500 with TTL. Only difference on mine, its not Ruby Red :( and I have the moonroof and no park assist or mats. The MSRP is very close to what you are looking at, difference being the upcharge for the paint.

I locked in the price on the

car and the trade before I found this site. now I believe I should've tried to get them to go down about a thousand more. but, since the agreed upon deal my transmission has gone out in the trade . they are still agreeing to give me 5000..So all in all it seems fair I think. Just not as good as.some of you are getting:(
