Ford REALLY wants me to keep my leather clean

Has this happened for others who have the leather seats? I've had my car since January. In that time I have received no less than five packets from ford containing leather cleaning and conditioning cloths. It might be more; those are just the ones I count sitting around, plus the one I actually used.

 

Really? Is this some computer glitch that it keep sending the same promotional packet for this product over and over to the same person? Or do they really intend to send this to me so many times?

I don't recall anyone posting yet about getting any product of that nature.

Those are handy though, you can use them on other stuff too.

It's a packet that comes from Ford in Plymouth, MI. It always contains two individually wrapped cloths from Leather Master. One is a cleaner and one is a protection cream.

 

There's a letter with it from "The Fusion Team, Ford Motor Company."

 

How odd that no one else is getting these. Maybe they are just sending them all to me :happy feet:

I had my car 'sealed' in and out before I picked it up and they gave me an extra pint of the interior goop for the leather.

 

If anyone wants the Sterling Grey die-cast model I'll do the same, PM me your address, it's yours.

I think I got 3 packets of the leather cleaner. I tried one, and it worked OK.

We also got multiple packs with the "blue denim" letter (Ford think wearing jeans on their dune leather seats is a bad idea). I hope they keep coming as in a lifetime supply. :)

Do you have dune leather seats? I recall the letter saying something about vegetable dye in jeans discoloring leather seats (I filed the letter in the shredder, so I can't say for sure). However, I could have dreamed that. :headscratch: It might make sense that the discoloration wouldn't show up on black leather seats.

Let me send you my address. I could use a few of them! I like the 3M product too, which is good on my Mustang seats. Never heard of anyone getting free stuff like this. Let us know if you figure out why it is happening.
