Location of 12 speakers in the Sony system?

Any ideas on the location of the 12 speakers in the Sony Audio?

 

2 @ Driver side door

1 @ Driver side rear door

2 @ Passenger side door

1 @ Passenger side rear door

2-3 @ rear deck

 

So that makes about 9 speakers total...

I think some are multiple speaker speakers. They may be counting the tweeter and midrange ans separate although they are all in the same housing as the woofer.

Looks like:

1 in dash

2 in RF door (1 tweeter)

2 in LF door(1 tweeter)

2 in RR door(1 tweeter)

2 in LR door(1 tweeter)

3 in rear deck (2 mid-woofers)

Haven't cared where they are, really, because they sound like they're everywhere. This is by far the best car audio I've ever owned.

 

I wonder what percentages of us set the DSP on stereo and surround. Any preferences, so far?

70% stereo 30%surround depends on the source and audio quality

I wish I knew where my 14 speakers and sub are located. I would also love to know where all my airbags are as well. :)

It would be nice if it would STAY in surround.

it cannot stay in surround as the default setting is stereo since the surround option depends on the audio source and quality note that not all types of music and extension can be played through surround

My THX system does stay in surround. I wonder why the Fusion is different?

I still wonder who makes the speakers in the THX system. I know its not sony because sony cant sound that good even with there high end aftermarket

it does stay in surround if continue to play the same CD (source) when you left the car last time not in normal radio

I would have opted for the Sony system but its only available on the Titanium :angry22:

well its a great sound system really....not at the same level of audi's bang and olfsen or MB Harman/kardon or BMW Harman/kardon or a lexus lexicon system. as those are top notch level.

 

more of a bose & infinity level ,you can say a lil bit better...but a very good one taking into consideration the price paid..

You want to keep those airbags hidden away as much as possible!
