Adding pictures to my postings

When I try to add a picture to one of my postings, I always get the response that the picture is too big. I have tried compressing them, and have gotten them down to 12KB, but the response is always that I am limited to 4KB. I have seen many of you forum members add pictures to your postings - can one (or more) of you please tell me how you do it if you are limited to such small pictures?

Direct picture links are limited I had the same issue after posting a few picture even if size was reduced.

I received some awesome tips on my thread Chicago to LA and I personally found that photobucket works the best.

Upload the pic to photobucket and copy the IMG link and paste it directly into your post here. Works also awesome when posting via iPhone for example.

I created a photobucket account and only use it for Fusion (and related) pics, so the pics are public. I then upload the pics to the photobucket account and click on pic in photobucket then click the link to save the URL to clipboard, change windows and edit post and Control-V and paste the URL into the post. That way there's no size limits to worry about. Below is a sample, which is not uploaded to this site but just a URL reference, makes things much easier IMHO, I got sick of those same "file size too big" errors.

I use imgur.com, no account necessary.

I use facebook since most pics are taken from my phone. I can snap a pic, post it to my private album, go to that page, bring up the pic, right click on it to copy URL and come here and paste it in. This way if I ever want to get rid of a pic, I can delete it there and its gone from all posted locations.
