clummus Report post Posted April 23, 2013 Am I right in saying that the only difference in a fully loaded SE and a fully loaded Ti is the push button start and the leather pattern on the seating is different? oh, and the better sound system? 1 Riggo reacted to this
jeff_h Report post Posted April 23, 2013 The Titanium comes with a spoiler, does the SE have that as an option?
Toz Report post Posted April 23, 2013 Well the SE has better wheel options.
Riggo Report post Posted April 23, 2013 Better Stereo, seats, push button start, Ambient lighting, led tail lights,... What else. I am blanking. Does the SE work like the titanium where the door opens when you are in proximity and touch the door handle and locks with a touch of the door handle? clummus Report post Posted April 23, 2013 I agree with the better wheel options on the SE.
Riggo Report post Posted April 23, 2013 What's really weird is I HATED the hyti wheels until my car arrived. It's something about seeing them in person. To me they look 100x worse in photos. I'm actually very happy with them and I never thought I'd say that before I saw them in person. 3 neod192, hybridbear and wazzul reacted to this

acdii Report post Posted April 26, 2013 There are a lot of times you look at something in a picture and not really liking it, then in person it looks a whole lot different due to shadows and 3D. For me, as long as the wheels go round and round, dont really care what they look like. :) When they stop doing that, then I am concerned! I do think Ford should at least offer the Luxury wheels as an option with the HyTi. I really liked the looks of them after seeing them in person. I kind of find it funny that the my ford touch screen that allows you to see when the car is using battery or engine power has the car dressed in the H spoke wheels that are not offered on any of the hybrid models, haha. acdii Report post Posted April 26, 2013 Wouldnt know, mine didnt have the hybrid screen. No WONDER the car did so bad! It was a gas model dressed like a Hybrid! Well shoot, in that case, it got pretty good MPG for a gasser!
hybridbear Report post Posted April 29, 2013 There are a few minor changes in the trim pieces. The Titanium has glossy black trim around the fog lights, the SE has matte trim. And the color is different in the interior for the silver/gray trim pieces around the radio, etc
kenbefound Report post Posted May 12, 2013 Titanium you get stuck with black leather. I once had a car with black leather and never want it again. I find it hard to believe that is the only choice on that trim level, makes no sense to me.
milleron Report post Posted May 12, 2013 Heated and cooled seats: I don't think heated seats belong in an HEV, and never understood the idea of cooled seats, anyway. I find the sensation slightly unpleasant in my wife's Buick. When I'm lowering my mileage by running the AC, what makes me feel cool is cold air blowing in my face and on my arms. It really doesn't make me feel any cooler to have an air-conditioned rump. Truly. My HyTi's heated seats will never be used, just as those in my Accord have never been turned on in the last ten years. Placing a sheepskin on the seat in the winter gives an instant sensation of warmth and costs nothing (and protects the leather). Black leather: to each his own, but what I will never have again is the light-colored leather, the "Dune" in the Fusion line. If a driver wears blue jeans even every once in a while, they stain that light-colored leather, and even a professional couldn't get our Buick driver's seat looking good again. Still, it's hard to believe that it's the only choice in the Titanium (I didn't really know it was).. Can't claim to have spent time comparing the sound systems in the SE and Titanium, but I can tell you that the Sony is a noticeable improvement over the "premium" six-speaker sound in my Accord. The latter sounded really great until I turned on the radio in the Titanium. For many, the audiophiles among us, this significant difference might be a compelling reason for the upgrade. Ambient lighting: not a compelling reason for the upgrade in my opinion. I've seen ambient lighting implemented much more effectively in other cars. In the Titanium, it's rather dim, and noticeable mostly just in the foot-wells. It was something I was looking forward to, but I'm pretty underwhelmed. In our LaCrosse, the blue light is spread by fiberoptic cables embedded in the dash, and it's not only really beautiful, but relaxing, as well. In my Titanium: blah by comparison. LED tail lights: must be sorta cool, but I can't see them, so not really a plus or a minus. Push button start: seems like a relatively unimportant feature, but to me, it was a biggie. Just like BLIS, I don't ever want another car without it. Buy a Titanium and don't look back. 2 fusionTX and acdii reacted to this

I can do without Adaptive cruise, and nav, and can even live without a sunroof, but it has to have BLIS.

djminfll Report post Posted August 11, 2013 I liked the Titanium, and was ready to justify the higher price, but I sat in an SE and Titanium back-to-back over and over, and I found the seats in the Titanium to be less comfortable than the SE, so I had to pick the SE. I think I made the right choice, but I wish I had push-button start and the Titanium tail lights.

Someday I may just get the cushion changed out on mine, its a little hard on the butt.
hytibill Report post Posted August 15, 2013 Push button start and BLIS are two features that don't sound important until you get them. Now I can't get a car without push button start and some sort of BLIS. 1 djminfll reacted to this
hermans Report post Posted August 15, 2013 (edited) You can get a '46 Dodge (along with many other models) with push button start. What's been around comes around again. People post they can't do without their push button start feature. In 1946 that was an advertised selling point on the Dodge. I can't do without my microwave oven.
