ny2oc1996 Report post Posted April 18, 2013 Picked up our Hy Ti yesterday and couldn't be happier. Platinum WhiteDriver Assist PackagePremium Mats (comes with trunk mat)All Weather Mats Ordered 12-13-12Build date 3-27-13Delivered 4-14-13Picked Up 4-16-13Odometer 8 miles The only surprises were found in the interior (good and bad). First, the good surprise was the upgraded Titanium leather which has a very luxurious look and feel especially the perforated leather. The bad news was the aluminum sport pedals were not there (just plain black rubber on the accelerator and brake). After speaking with the dealer I was informed that Ford dropped that feature. Now tonight I read that news was reported here on this board a short while back. Well today I went right into the parts department and inquired as to whether those pedals are available for purchase and they are! So I am guessing that means there was no safety issue involved and they were dropped for other reasons. The dealer parts department gave me the part numbers and pricing. Brake pedal cover part # DG9Z2454C - $34.73Accelerator pedal part # DG9Z9F836C - $69.91 I just ordered them online with http://www.silverstatefordparts.com Brake pedal cover part # DG9Z2454C - $24.59Accelerator pedal part # DG9Z9F836C - $38.77Shipping - $14.95Total - $78.31 The brake pedal is just a cover and should slip right on. The accelerator is the complete pedal. Probably won't be driving it before the weekend but what a great ride home from the dealer. 4 dalesky, Fastronaut, McGarrett50 and 1 other reacted to this

B25Nut Report post Posted April 18, 2013 I was wondering last week what happened to ny2oc. It's great to hear you got your car and have become a happier driver. My wife found out today that she needs a root canal. Her dentist didn't recommend any of our local dental surgeons and suggested one in Santa Barbara, which is a two hour drive. Last year, this would not have been an option. My first reaction even today was to say "No!" but after 30 seconds of thinking about it, I told her "yes", since it means more time in my FFH. 4 acdii, jeff_h, hybridbear and 1 other reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted April 19, 2013 oh man root canals, my sympathies! I had one done once, and I hate dentists, I have to be knocked out, but this one dentist said that Nitrous will do it just fine. Yeah right, that needle still damn near made my heart stop, and then the bastard broke a file off in my tooth. I had to have the tooth extracted later because of it. I did find a dentist though that is certified for G A and did a great job fixing my teeth up, cost me a few grand, but was well worth it.

There is a such a thing as 'having too much information', I wish I hadn't read that. 1 dalesky reacted to this
smr2112 Report post Posted April 21, 2013 Thanks for info on those parts. I assume the gas pedal is not difficult to install, what's involved? Besides twisting your entire body into an unnatural positionto get at it... Last piece of the car i need to screw up... And as long as were tradeing parts info, here is info on the wiper blades. They look great but haven't used them yet, but was wondering how expensivethey will be to replace. Not too bad...several manufacturers make them.I replace my wipers every 6 months or so. 2013 Ford Fusion - Wiper BladesDriver Side (28") / Passenger Side (28") - $16.99MICHELIN® - Stealth™ Hybrid Smart Flex Wiper Bladehttp://www.carid.com/2013-ford-fusion-wiper-blades/michelin-stealth-hybrid-smart-flex-wiper-blade-10062375.html 1 Fastronaut reacted to this

Can we just change the rubber on the factory blades? In my VW Gti I've always only changed the rubber and it was cheaper than changing the whole thing. smr2112 Report post Posted April 22, 2013 It's all one piece, there is no rubber insert like old-style blades that I can tell. I always liked the beam style blades (like Bosch Icon I used) and never mindreplacing the whole thing rather than trying to refit those insert and thosemetal strips - if that's what you mean. Not cheap, but they work well. Have not found the Ford part/cost for this, but these look identical andseem to have the same connection clip that the factory blades have.Nothing about standard blades will work on this car. Unless these areunique to the Titanium? (don't think so)...
