  1. Second on that request, I looked, but couldn't see anything on the sides of the back lights.

Welcome to the forum. You definitely chose the best!
  3. Great idea Jeff and thanks HybridBear for posting. This is an interesting concept to raise the tolerances of the system to tax the battery more. It currently drains quickly at highway speeds but will be interesting to see if the reprogramming will alter the mpg noticeably. I'm curious whether it will compromise the overall life of the battery or not.
  4. Great point ---- that is the perfect time and place to use the Detailer spray. I once made the mistake of using it in a hot car (at a car show)... It set up too quickly and created more of a problem than the fingerprints caused.
  5. I completely agree. If there is a layer of dust, even a thin layer it can be abrasive unless it is washed first with a gentle soap and plenty of water. The California duster is amazing and most Detailer sprays are easy and quick to use. I just picked up the Surf City product to take on my next trip (for the airplane). Really looking forward to trying the 303 Detailer on the cars. My tip is to make sure that you always use clean microfiber cloths. I have certain colors for specific uses. (Yellow for final polishing, blue for interior wiping and applying tire gloss, orange for engine cleanup. They are washed together in hot water with NO FABRIC SOFTENER, then gentle dried on a very LIGHT HEAT setting. I rotate them out once they have been used to make sure that they don't have residue from a prior use. It may seem picky, but cars aren't cheap and taking care of them has never...ever had a negative impact.
  6. Welcome! You are right...the ride is absolutely incredible. That color looks pretty good ;-)
  7. I like the Parking Alliance idea...a few cones set up around you and the world will be good;-) For years I've been parking out in the North Forty of parking lots, seeking out spaces at the end of rows and backing in whenever possible. Anyone riding with me knows that they'll be able to get a little exercise.
  8. Welcome! You will love your new Fusion. I'm looking forward to your updates.
  9. It sure feels good, although I've been waiting for the weather to clear so that we can attempt to set a new coast to coast record in aviation. If you look at the radar there are storms on both sides of the country. We're hoping to take off from Los Angeles next Monday...until then, I'm gonna enjoy the cool evenings here in North Texas.
  10. David - even though you can't cry over spilled milk...in your case it's definitely okay to cry over spilled beer in your new car ;-)
  11. It's a different type of system from traditional cars in that even when it is "running" at a stop light, the ICE is normally automatically turned off. Since the air conditioner compressor is electric, then it doesn't need the engine to turn a belt in order for it to operate properly. The remote start is just the same function and for the sake of overall gasoline consumption, I wouldn't want it to be doing anything but getting the car ready to drive (which primarily is simply heating or cooling the cabin.) I love the remote start feature but also think that it is weird that i have to start it again once inside. But hey, if it will keep it from being stolen by some weirdo who is hanging around the car when it starts remotely, I'll gladly live with the hassle factor. We have already tested ours and it can be driven away without the key in the car once it had been started, so this is actually a great safety feature that is worth the extra push of a button.
