I have to say that seeing the pics of the new HyTi cars and hearing about it makes me a bit jealous that we didn't wait for the Titanium. I went through and compared the features per ford.com and definitely think that the HyTi is worth the $2500 price premium :spend: over our Hybrid SE for the additional features it would have. If Ford had made HyTi's available in the very beginning I'm confident that we would have spent the extra money for the Titanium. However, at the time there was very limited information from Ford about the HyTi features and there were not even hardly any gas Ti's to look at to see features. We also ordered in October hoping to get our car in December and we didn't want to wait until April to get a HyTi. Now I kind of wish we had...

Anyone else with an SE Hybrid feel the same?

A little bit.,my second order placed on Nov 8th FINALLY showed up in Etis as built (yesterday), will still go see it at the dealer when it arrives, but still very happy with my SE Hybrid and the lack of push-button start being the only small regret.

I felt the same way, and if I did have a HyTi chances are even with the way it was acting I would have kept it. Now that I have a Titanum Flex I can see why the HyTi is in such demand.

I have a HyTi coming in a week or two only because Ford screwed up the order on my SE Hybrid so badly that after putting my deposit down on June 12th, I still hadn't heard anything about delivery by December! At that point, I gave up in disgust and canceled. After a couple of weeks, I cooled down, went back and put in a new order for the Titanium, which had become a possibility only after the first order. Sometimes things work out for the best. In retrospect, I'm very thankful Ford messed up initially.

BTW, I've kept track of my dealer's inventory, and I never have seen that original car come in, even after ten months. Things were so incredibly fouled up at Hermosillo in the summer and fall, that it seems like some orders just got canceled altogether -- i.e., I wonder if some of those cars that came off the production line too defective to send to the dealers might have never been delivered at all.

I see the allure, but the Dune interior is the seller for me. Had Ford offered Dune in the HyTi, I would have been split down the middle on the decision.

If I would have got the SE I would have my car by now. But I really, really, really wanted the upgraded stereo and the push button start and smart access. Even then I might have gone for the SE except it appears VERY difficult (impossible?) to add aftermarket sound system to the Fusion, so I had to wait.

I think I would have felt more regret in getting the SE if the HyTi had better looking wheels. I don't think I could live with the stock wheels so even with the premium cost of the HyTi I would have had to spend another ~$2K to get different wheels. IMO Ford really screwed with the design of the HyTi wheels. The Luxury wheels on the SE should have been standard on the HyTi.

Other than that I love my SE and all the features it has. BTW the stock stereo in the SE is pretty good too!

I'm glad I didn't wait. I don't see any features that are worth the extra money. I could care less about dual exhaust or "full" LED taillights or push button start (I had that with older cars). It's not the novelty with me as it is with others. Add the fact that the car is only available with black interior. I did not want the parking assist with my FFH and couldn't see spending the extra money for it.

My FFH was ordered the way I wanted it and I think it's a better car than the "HyTi". But then that is just my opinion.....and my money.

Didn't mean to slam the stock stereo. It's just that it's the one thing in a car that I almost always have replaced with a better unit some time while I have owned a car, and this one looks to be un-replaceable. So I figure I better get the best one I can now, cuz I am pretty much going to be stuck with it for the life of the car.

I understand. I just wanted others to realize that the stock radio works and sounds pretty good. HD Radio seems to be a novelty that isn't working in some areas and not really a benefit. Also with most audio in stereo having 10+ speakers "almost" sounds like overkill. I do have to say I like the look of the Sony head unit.

Another thing I found out is that the stock radio is built by Panasonic. So at least you're getting a decent "unbranded" head unit.

Like some others here, I wouldn't switch my SE for a Titanium. The Dune Interior and Luxury wheels more than make up for the Push Button Start and Sony Audio. I ditto Hermans, JSK and Aaron.

I too wanted the Dune interior, I did look at a Gas Ti before I went with the FFH, but as the Ti was black interior only I was swayed to the SE FFH.

I've heard the extra speakers make a difference in the sound cancelling.

Really? That would be REALLY hard to put to a test. It seems intuitive, and like something a dealer might say to push the Ti, but I doubt that your average person could tell the difference. But it could make a difference I suppose.

I didn't want to finance any more than $20K, and honestly, I couldn't afford the Titanium and keep within this budget, although I would have preferred it if it was an option for me. However, at the launch event here in S. Florida, they had a non-hybrid SE and Titanium (no Hybrids yet), and to be honest, I found the seats in the SE more comfortable than in the Titanium. I'm not sure if the same differences in the seats are applicable to the Hybrid models. But I must say, SE or Titanium, I couldn't be happier with my car!

Ford made it difficult to choose not only between the HySE and HyTi but also had me considering not even buying the Hybrid. Sanity prevailed and HyTi on order but I would have been perfectly happy with a HySE I found but the dealer was greedy. I will most probably buy a set of SE take off 18in Lux wheels as I do prefer to the Ti 18's.

My decision was difficult because of the price. The SE was at the sweet spot, but was lacking fundamental things. The Titanium comes with stuff that I really didn't care about. IMO a blatant cash grab. If I could have added push button start and ambient lighting to the SE I'd likely have gone that route.

My understanding is that the 2014 SE is supposed to right these wrongs, but there's no telling whether Ford will ramp the price anyway. Plus the longer I kept my car, the more it would have cost me, as it was due for 30K service (~600) better suited for a new car.

You may be surprised at how much you grow to like your hyTi's wheels. I have, and so have a few others. It's one of those that looks better in person.
