hermans Report post Posted April 10, 2013 I got tired of asking my wife if I could borrow her FFH so I decided to buy my own. I'll be ordering it tomorrow - Ruby Red this time as that was our second choice when we got our Bordeaux 2013. All the same options as our last one, except this one will have the 18 inch wheels. 7 hybridbear, acdii, rjent and 4 others reacted to this

You can always have my order #2 which is Ruby Red, though it probably doesn't have all the amenities you'd want. Build date is March 18th... oops I mean April 15th, though still no window sticker available. Anyway, we are doing the same thing... I have my Ruby Red and my wife loves the blue... so with her car just paid off we are getting her an Energi so she can drive around town on her short trips and most all of them will be on EV. Been paying $100 per week in gas for her Starbucks Assault Vehicle long enough. So it will be a his & hers Fusion garage. 4 acdii, Da0ne, hybridbear and 1 other reacted to this
hermans Report post Posted April 10, 2013 I have absolutely no qualms about getting another FFH. Today, I went to lunch 2.6 miles away from the house. It's 84 degrees out and I got 67.7 MPG. My wife, in this weather, gets 52+ on her 4+ mile commute. 3 hybridbear, elle and rjent reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted April 10, 2013 Hey guys, log into your ford owners site and check to see if you got a $100 credit to use towards a new car. I just found out I have one from the Fusion. 2 elle and neod192 reacted to this
neod192 Report post Posted April 10, 2013 Hey guys, log into your ford owners site and check to see if you got a $100 credit to use towards a new car. I just found out I have one from the Fusion. Does it show up in the My Next Vehicle - New Vehicle Offers section? That's where my $750 showed up. I think the $100 is through Owner Advantage Rewards. The 2010 she was driving has a 16.5 gallon tank and I have put over 16 gallons in it. hermans Report post Posted April 11, 2013 Sweet! So which of of you was pushing for the MKZ over the Fusion? :)There was no "pushing" on either side. It was mutual, we just decided we would like to have two different cars. We both drove of of the first MKZs when the dealer got their first ones. 2 hybridbear and neod192 reacted to this
hybridbear Report post Posted April 16, 2013 Awesome! Sounds like a great car. How do you get A Plan pricing?
hermans Report post Posted April 16, 2013 (edited) I have a number of relatives who are either retired or currently working for Ford. When I purchased the FFH I used a Z Plan from a retired relative. For the MKZ I used another relative's A Plan. Both have the same benefits. Over the years I have purchased 11 cars using A-Z Plan, this saves a heap of money. jeff_h Report post Posted April 20, 2013 (edited) We picked up my wife's Blue Titanium Energi last night, now we have His-N-Hers along with my Ruby Red SE Hybrid. Note the difference in the plastic surrounding the fog lights and around the lower grill, her Titanium has the black piano type and I guess mine has the El Cheapo kind. His (sunshine changes the Ruby Red color appearance in the above pic compared to the below): Hers (says it's the perfect color blue that she has always wanted): Both together again, with honorable mention to my neighbor the Chevy guy and his '67 Camaro over on the left... jeff_h Report post Posted April 21, 2013 Nice!! Looking forward to future reports on both. Well the red one is not so new anymore, 3 months old but I just changed the oil a couple days ago since it had passed 10,000 miles... will take a year for her car to get that many, so I already told her I might swap now and then. 1 hybridbear reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted April 21, 2013 Super Jealous now! That NRG is BEAUTIFUL! Interesting how the blue makes the car look larger.
tombarker13ffh Report post Posted April 21, 2013 The blue is awesome. I kinda wanted to trade my wife's escape in on a blue Energi, but she wants a bigger SUV. I kinda would rather get a truck, but then I'd have to give her my FFH, and she'd ruin it lol.

milleron Report post Posted April 22, 2013 I have a photo from when I was in the AF in 1977 of the couple who lived across the street from us in base housing with new his-n-hers CORVETTES. I'd post it, but it's on an old 35mm slide. Jeff's photo is thus the neatest I've seen for over 35 years! However, if I were lucky enough to live in a state that didn't require a front tag, I'd certainly have those Ford ads off the cars. James Bond wouldn't have a Ford ad on his Aston Martin. 1 Fastronaut reacted to this
storksb Report post Posted April 22, 2013 Congrats Jeff on the Energi, looks sweet. Surprised to see that the Energi Ti gets the same wheels as the SE hybrid though. I would have expected 18" wheels as standard. Cool rides though. Enjoy! Simon
