neod192 Report post Posted April 24, 2013 If I am reading the visibility report correct, it looks like you have a build day of May 13 ?? Anyone know if I am correct? I am not sure how to read these. I added the VIN to the sheet, but what is weird is that your VIN is identical to my CAR #2 VIN except for the DR number. How can that be ?? Weird.Yes, the build date is May 13th. It was April 29th, but it got pushed back. The DR # is the only # that's different between cars of the same model/trim. Look up a VIN decoder to see what each letter represents. My car #2 will not be quick. Ordered on April 15, and build day of May 20 so 35 days just to get built. But then others have had to wait way longer so I am ok with it.My car #1 on the other hand... should arrive this week. Ordered March 28th, that car is still in the running for 1st place. Would figure that I would have had the fastest delivery if my dealer had not been so stubborn !!

corncobs Report post Posted April 26, 2013 Cool that was fast; I guess a car has better chances getting shipped the later it's built in a week. Mine was the same way it was shipped after the day it was built.

wazzul Report post Posted April 27, 2013 LASooner, what state are you in? Would like to add it to the spreadsheet. You just want to know because he's likely close to you and you want to see how long it takes from build to delivery in your area... Well me too, I've been taking every car that comes to Oregon. :-)

wazzul Report post Posted April 27, 2013 What's up with that LA and NY get deliveries super fast, the rest of us it seems to take 2.5-4 weeks. You guys are spoiled!
LASooner Report post Posted April 27, 2013 (edited) If it's any consolation, I probably won't get to drive it very fast because I drive in LA. I called the tracking number and it said it was somewhere in Arizona at 10:30pm Friday night but I couldn't make out the name, I think it might have been Sahuarita, I must have listened to it 20 times, and still couldn't make it out clearly. malibu3105 Report post Posted April 27, 2013 Mine was in Arizona aldo, but I think it gets onto a truck there, and a day or so drive. So, you car will be in LA by Wednesday at the latest I would say. Yes we are spoiled, every time I am in traffic now I just think how nice to be in traffic in a hybrid not using gas !!!! btw, I am not spoiled on my 2nd car, my first car was fast but they ordered the wrong color. Sucks. Oh well. And Malibu is not for the are, although it could be, I was choosing between a Grand Prix and a Malibu 10 years ago. I ended up with the Grand Prix, but Malibu stuck as a user name. I lived on a street address 3105, so combined for a unique username :)

fpliptak Report post Posted May 3, 2013 Got the call from my salesman today. My Fusion Energi SE has arrived at the dealership. Having the mud flaps and illuminated door sills installed. The salesman is out tomorrow and the install is scheduled for Monday. He wants to be there for the install to make sure it goes OK. Not sure why but I'll go with it for now. We can't get there due to schedule conflicts until Wednesday May 8th. I hate waiting but at least it is here and should be ready by Wednesday. I ran into issues with the Illuminated Door Sills in the Milan Hybrid in that the wiring was different than the non-hybrid and the dealer had to track down the correct wiring. Took four trips but they did a great job at the quoted price. Malibu, please update the spreadsheet with the delivery date and the color (Ice Storm, original order was Ginger Ale but by the time the order went thru GA was color balanced out) 2013 Ford Fusion Eneri SE - Ice Storm with Sand Interior - Hers :)2010 Mercury Milan Hybrid - Brilliant Silver with Medium Light Stone Interior - Mine2006 Mercury Milan Premier - Titanium Gray with Charcoal Interior - Ours1999 Mercury Sable LS - Sivler with Gray Interior - Replaced by 2013 Fusion Energi SE
