neod192 Report post Posted April 10, 2013 I was a little saddened to see the rear fascia on the Hybrid Titanium. I think the ICE Titanium rear is much more stylish. I can't imagine why they'd change it.I can live without the bright pedals & ambiently-lit cup holders. I don't even mind having a single exhaust, but I think this styling change was . . . well . . . unfortunate.I'd never think of canceling an order because of it, but it's a step back.I wonder what all you guys think about it. Does anyone think it's an improvement vs. ICE Titanium?Well, of course we don't like it .. But the dual integrated exhausts were never part of the Hybrid Titanium (from an engineering perspective). They're tied to the 2.0 EB engine, but they showed up in some early brochures by mistake.
milleron Report post Posted April 10, 2013 I do realize that. I'm talking about the appearance of the rear bumper and trim on the Titanium -- just looks a lot better to me than the Hybrid Titanium counterpart, which more closely resembles the rear of the SE -- nothing very distinctive about it other than the badge. Well the tail lights on the HiTi are different than the SE (in that the outter edge is full lit LED), other than the exhaust looking different I don't know what else you see that looks better on the gas model Titanium than the Hybrid Titanium. Can you explain further?
milleron Report post Posted April 14, 2013 I looked at Neod's gallery again, and I must withdraw my complaint. The photos were shot in deep shadow, probably very early in the morning, and I initially didn't see the black insert in the lower bumper, the one that has a reflector on each side. I thought that back bumper was just continuous monotonal material. I was wrong, and I have no complaints about the back bumper at all. That's a relief. Regarding the other point, I dropped by the local Ford dealer. They were closed today (Sunday) so I could look carefully at all the features in detail without being bothered by sales people or crowds. I compared Fusions, SEs, Titaniums, and an Energi Titanium that was sitting there. Without any of them illuminated, I could see no difference in any of the tail lights on those four models. Now you've whetted my appetite, Riggo, and I'd really like to compare them at night.
