elle Report post Posted March 28, 2013 (edited) Okay, okay, you all are right. I do love the car I have, and undoubtedly won't do any better with the newer one. The best course would be to keep this one and if I get the bug again after a few more years to trade it in for an Energi. See, this is why I NEED you guys :) My husband just said, "okay, if that's what you want." ace8726872 Report post Posted March 28, 2013 My husband just said, "okay, if that's what you want." Wow, you trained him well. Because of the very strict training that I received, I can't say no to my wife, much like yours!

hybridbear Report post Posted April 1, 2013 The chrome handle accents and the cooler taillights combined with the better stereo almost seem worth it to me. Plus, I'd get the color I finally decided I really wanted. Notice I said "almost." What are the different tail lights on the Titanium? Okay, okay, you all are right. Riggo Report post Posted April 2, 2013 Hybridbear, the tail lights on the hybrid titanium are LED lit around the outside edge. On the SE and lower trims that part is just a reflector.
elle Report post Posted April 2, 2013 (edited) Wow! What a husband! You have to understand that we got married in our 50's and we're both used to handling our own finances. Add to that the fact that our salaries are almost exactly the same, so we pretty much just do our own thing with our own money. He has investments, so do I, hopefully we will both have retirement plans that will come to fruition, so we're fairly independent from one another, financially. Nick P Report post Posted April 3, 2013 Very smart elle. My wife and I are the same situation and we pool money for joint bills (mortgage, food, etc) but otherwise her money is hers and mine is mine. It doesn't sound very romantic but it saves a lot of fights. And IMHO, keeping the car for a few years is the right move. Unless you're independently wealthy and then still keep the car, but add a Ferrari for sunny weekends.

Better yet get a different car that does well in short commutes.
