The build date will be around 3/28, like Acdii said. You can get that from the history of the vehicle visibility report. One of your old statuses was Scheduled to Day" and that day is the tentative day to get your car built. Mine built a day earlier than that :)

 

Sorry, I don't want to post my VIN on the forums. I treat it like my SSN, lol.

It really is hit and miss and doesn't seem to have much rhyme or reason but I suppose there is somewhere.... some cars will get built and right onto a train within a day or two, and some go to 'offsite' and sit there for days or weeks, unknown of there are QA issues being worked out or just a holding area.

See the below post if you haven't seen it before, purportedly written by a Ford dealer and while it's several years old, so is the ordering system I guess, so I would assume it is as current as when it was written.... anyway, #2 in the post notes that once a VIN is assigned and build date established, after that the priority code means nothing. Whether that's true or not I have no idea, just going by the post referenced below and just keep in mind that there have been things written on the internet that haven't been totally accurate, hard to believe I know!

So question, how do you get your updates or status? Do you call your dealer or are you getting some automated email from the plant?

 

I will be finalizing my deal this Saturday night, so my order should go in on Monday hopefully. I am hoping for May delivery, but maybe that is optomistic :)

The plant emails us every 5 days with a current status and a picture of the car rolling off the line! (WE WISH).
