hermans Report post Posted June 12, 2013 So far, no issues at all with MFT or the navigation in my FFH or MKZ. No crashes no issues.
acdii Report post Posted June 12, 2013 Other than music skipping when played off USB, the MFT has been fine. Only certain songs skip, so might be a bitrate issue. Only time it needed a reboot was to fix the SCV admin. That was on day 2 of having the car(Thanks again neod). 1 neod192 reacted to this
MTGilby Report post Posted June 28, 2013 My sync screen went black on Wed nothing worked no radio, blue tooth etc.,called the dealer took it in Thur. am, they worked all day to get it to work. The repair info said they disconnected its power supply then repowered and had to reprogram the system to get it to work. Hope this lasts, otherwise a great car. swhall Report post Posted August 26, 2014 Ugh, guess it was my 1 month anniversary present... Pushed Start and got the black screen - in about 1 minute, Sync logo and "scheduled maintenance" notice. I assumed it was really some sort of maintenance, but others here seem to think it's a crash. I shouldn't be surprised - I am familiar with MS their 'undocumented feature' history. Hybrider Report post Posted August 26, 2014 I had the same sort of issue happen to me this morning. I was backing into a parking spot, so I looked at the MFT screen to view the camera to make sure I didn't bump into the wall behind me, and the MFT screen was completely blank/black. So I shifted the car into Park and back to Reverse to see if that would fix the possible glitch, and then the "SYNC" logo popped up on the screen, shortly followed by the "Scheduled Maintenance in Progress" type of message with the progress bar. I have no idea what the maintenance entails, or what it might be connecting to, especially since I don't have a phone paired to SYNC on my FFH.
murphy Report post Posted August 26, 2014 It wasn't doing maintenance. It was rebooting because it detected a problem in the software. 2 GrySql and Hybrider reacted to this
SteveB_TX Report post Posted August 27, 2014 Yeah. The "Scheduled Maintenance in Progress" message is a Microsoft euphemism for "I have encountered the Blue Screen of Death, but will pretend you know absolutely nothing about computers, therefore making you think I am doing some much needed maintenance" ;) :zombi: 4 Bryan Burch, corncobs, GrySql and 1 other reacted to this

Hi swhall and Hybrider, I just wanted to jump in and let you know that the PERFORMING SCHEDULED SYSTEM MAINTENANCE screen is a forced reboot of your MyFord Touch system. It is basically a preventative maintenance that does not delete any of your settings or paired devices. If you notice this message occurring once in a blue moon, I don't recommend any troubleshooting. If this starts happening multiple times in one day, this is not normal and I suggest performing a master reset: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/perform-master-reset-sync-myford-touch If you're still seeing that screen pop up repeatedly after performing the reset, it is best to schedule an appointment with your dealership so they can diagnose. According to some feedback from my other forum members, this seems to happen more often if multiple devices are plugged in at one time.
